Just received this incredible shoe today; awesome with skinny leg jeans. Sort of old-world style; the leather is amazing! I've already ordered one in each color - the pictures simply don't do them justice. I would order a half size down.

These Frye oxfords are awesome! They run a little large,so I ordered 1/2 size smaller. They also run a little narrow. They are comfortable and full of style. I had to order a second pair, cute with jeans or beat-up khakis!

In love with these Fryes. Understand why others went a half-size down, but I kept my usual 9.5. Maybe too narrow in the toe box for some, but for me these are perfect and exactly what I wanted. The leather is beautiful, a good price for this kind of quality.

I had been looking for a woman's wingtip shoe for months and finally Frye came out with Maggie. I totally love this shoe! The heel is a little higher than the Frye mules I own, but I like the extra height (I'm not one that wears heels often). I got the stone vachetta color, which arrives looking a bit worn in intentionally. I love that, this way I won't worry so much when I scuff them. Sizing was right on, I wear a 9.5 and that's what I ordered. It was slightly tight width-size, I solved that by wearing really thick socks with the shoes around the house for a couple of hours. I love Frye, and I love to buy shoes made in the USA, it's a rarity these days.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I love this shoe! Based on the reviews I was anxious about size and width as I have wide feet and often need either a wide shoe or a size up to fit. Since most folks say these run large I thought maybe I should go a size down, too, but decided 'cause my feet are wide to go ahead with my usual 8.5. They are perfect. I will keep my 8.5. Gorgeous shoes. Frye shoes are always great.

Beautiful, well made, delish leather shoe! Distressed look is great. I found them to be true to size. Straight up/normal foot size 10 always. Ordered 10-fit like a glove. Buy these or you will be sorry come fall when this style is all the rage! Zappos was outstanding as always.

Love these shoes. They look great with jeans, dress slacks & will be great to wear with bare feet & roll up jeans & cargos. I am a true 8.5 & these fit true to size. Leather is great quality & I really like the vintage look to the shoe. They did not take any time to break in -- as always Frye quality is the best. You won't be sorry you ordered. You may even want more than 1 color like I did!

These are the coolest & most badass shoes ever. The quality of the leather and the workmanship is superior, and they look fabulous. I've needed to break them in slowly, but I expect these will become the most comfortable of shoes, like the Frye Carson Oxfords I've been wearing for the last 6 months.

I'm a big fan of Frye. These shoes are very nice. The footbed is nice and soft. I love the heel height. They are a have size small for sure and they will take a while to soften up, they're pretty stiff.

These are my new favorite shoes - Love them! The workmanship, quality of materials, overall styling are all excellent. I've received compliments, and many inquiries as to where I got them. Excellent for hoofing around town - soft footbed, and very ' finished' on the inside. Really great style!

Cute shoes! No blisters, even first time I wore them. I would say that they are not quite as exciting as I was hoping they would be... but they are easy to wear and great quality!

Swank - gorgeous! I'm 47 years old. My 16 year old daughter really likes these (on me). Absolutely dream-perfect heel. They do fit snugly. Numerous other reviewers often suggest to order down from your regular size in Frye footwear. I find the opposite - I have to order slightly up. My normal size is 9W, but I need a size 10 in all Frye's. The color blush is a slightly warm beige, perfect neutral. Nothing pink about it, except that it's just a warm, neutral /natural go-with-everything color. A stunning, well crafted, work-of-art shoe. Enjoy! Frye is the only brand I can wear anymore (my feet are too wide for nearly all other brands, except Ugg's). I don't mind the price. I'd rather have only 5 pair of well-fitting, gorgeous, comfy shoes in my closet vs. a closet full of hurt-my-feet shoes. Buy these while you can get them!
Brands I'd also recommend: Frye Shoes, Mules, Clogs & Boots

These are dancing shoes! The thick leather sole is made for dancing the two step! They go great with Cowgirl style Wrangler jeans. This style is just enough different from boots so that they get noticed too.
Brands I'd also recommend: Ariat, but Frye is the best!

These shoes are cute. Even my seven year old daughter approves of the style. I have planter fascia and need sturdy shoes that will take an orthotic insert. These just about do. The heel depth is slightly shallow with the inserts. They are well made, attractive shoes. The leather is very thick and hard. I can't see them stretching much at all when you go to wear them in. This is my second pair of Frye shoes and I have the same fit problem with both of them: the toe box is too narrow and my little toe is squeezed. This is not a problem I have had with other brands. I am not aware of the front of my foot being particularly wide. To solve the problem, I took the shoes to our local cobbler and had the toe box stretched. We'll see if this works. They found it hard to stretch because the leather is so thick and hard. I will resist buying Frye shoes in the future however cute, they may be. They are just too expensive not to be comfortable enough to wear! I think the last they use just doesn't suit my foot.
Brands I'd also recommend: Earthies, Naot

Loved the Carson, hoped this cute style would be as good a fit. The heel cup is too wide so the shoe slips up and down when I walk, narrow toe box. Going back.

One of the most comfortable oxfords I have ever had on my feet, Break in period was fast. I have 3 pair! My only regret is that they don't come in black...or I would have them too.
