This is a great shoe! It is so comfortable that it is easy to forget the heel is 3". The leather is both tough and soft. A perfect combination of workboot and style.

I saw this boot in the mall a few weeks ago and had to have it. I just got an email today saying zappos had it. I love the color I got the reddish brown. This is my 4th Frye boot so I am used to them by now. The leather is gorgeous and I was able to wear it all day from the minute they came out of the box. I have gotten tons of compliments on this boot. I have worn it with my dress slacks for work and with my slouchy jeans on the weekend. It always looks great.

This boot is awesome! Top quality, comfortable, and it doesn't feel like a high heel. You can dress it up or down. Gorgeous leather lining and leather stack heel. My only complaint? Made in China. I prefer to buy goods made in the USA.

These boots are even better than I imagined, they are so cute! They are true to size and I wore them all day the first day with no blisters, which never happens to me with Frye's! My only complaint is that the footbed isn't nearly as squishy as some of my other Frye's, so if you are planning on wearing them for long periods or walking a lot, you may want to invest in some of those ball of foot pressure relieving pads. Other than that these are perfect boots! The heel is just the right height to make your legs and butt look awesome and still be comfortable!

This may be the ugliest boot I have ever seen. The toe and heel are a shiny dark brown, and there's nothing burnished about the leather of the body of the boot. I am a medium width in everything, and could barely get one foot into the right boot. I only unpacked it to do a sizing check, and thought I might try to find a different color elsewhere. I won't. These are cheap looking, horribly made boots, a real disappointment. I don't know where these boots have been outsourced to, but I'm not pleased with Frye at all. Really gross. EW!

The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Many New England families during the mid and late 1800’s wore Frye boots as they pioneered across the country to the West.

Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.

In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.

The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I was going to purchase these boots, but found out they were made in China. I have several Frye boots and wear them daily but I only buy their products made in the USA or Mexico. I have found the quality lacking in the China made boots and shoes especially when you consider the high cost. Please, Frye, don't lose your quality for higher profit margin.

Very comfortable on first wearing, supportive as you can lace them snug. Sorry to discover that the heels are not stacked leather, but plastic made to look like it, and the heel lifts are the hard slippery kind. I will replace them if I can and keeping the boots anyway, but disappointing it the heel details.

I usually love Frye's--practically live in my Carson shorties--but these boots have been a major disappointment. They're every bit as gorgeous as they look in the picture, but I've found them virtually unwearable because of the sole. The heel is cheap plastic and is so slippery, it's actually hard to imagine a single other material in this whole wide world more guaranteed to land someone on their you-know-what. Seriously, I can only wear them if I know I'm going to be on concrete or carpet. The rest of the soul is rubber and has a bit more traction, but if there's any snow on the ground--forget it. There's something about the tread that picks up more and more snow, until you're walking around (or trying to) with an inch of packed snow stuck to the bottom of the shoe. Really, they're kind of ridiculous, which is a shame, because they're gorgeous. Maybe salvageable if you get them resoled? I'll probably try, but having to resole a pair of Frye's... Come on.
