Had a chance to try these pups on at a local shoe store. They do run short in length, as the low top version of this shoe. I have several of Frye boots and they run very true to size bordering on a little roomy in length. However in this brands sandals and shoes a different story? Go, figure? Don't know why some are so different.

I've been super happy with these kicks so far. I bought them in lavender and I love the color. It took a little while to find the right size, because they are long and narrow. I'm usually a 7.5/8 and the 7 actually fit length wise but then the shoe was much too narrow. The 8 was too long so I ended up with the 7.5, which is still a bit long but fits well otherwise. Other than that, they're super comfy. The leather is soft and keeps my feet warm and they took only about a day to break in. I bought these because I wanted a good quality sneaker and I trust Frye. I have noticed that the rubber along the side in one small area is starting to come away from the leather but I'm hoping that won't happen to the rest of the shoe.

My first experience with a pair of Frye Kira High Top shoes was when I bought the style in the berry color since I love anything pink. I still enjoy wearing them. The distressed leather high tops are just as nice. They are very cool-looking and comfortable. The leather is a soft nubuck leather with a dull nap as opposed to the slightly shiny look of the berry and other colors. Ordinarily I would not buy 5½ since I wear 5N but other reviews indicated the shoes were short in length. This style fits fine. Overall, I am very pleased with my hightops.

Very good looking shoe with quality leather. I ordered a half size up from my normal 6 1/2 and still the shoe feels small; tight across the toes. Also the string guide on the tongue of one shoe broke the 2nd time I wore them.

Love these, though have yet to slip in a think orthotic. Very supple, hug the foot, stay on my narrow feet. High tops guarantee a close fit. Very sexy looking with skinny pants.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.
