Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture, and has been brought down to youth sizes. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally and enjoys strong sales in the United States, Europe and Japan. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Frye's." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots. Frye continues to manufacture quality boots for infants, toddlers and children, allowing you to outfit your entire family in the Frye tradition.
Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye has been known for more than 100 Years.

I love these shoes they are so cute! I wear a size 7 womens but my feet run a tad smaller than that sometimes. These were a little tight at first but once they got broken in they worked like a dream! I definitely recommend them for shorter women especially those who struggle with tall boots because of the size of your calf. These fall just below my calf and I am 5'1. I love them and Zappos was great also! I ordered them on a Sunday and got them Wednesday which is quite quick for standard shipping. Anyways I recommend this shoe to anyone and it's totally adorable in dark brown!
I'd also recommend: Toms, Jack Rogers, Uggs

Very cute and stylish shoes! I bought them at the beginning of the winter season this year and wear them all the time with my skinny jeans!I usually wear a woman's size 7 and I bought a youth size four in the dark brown color. They were tight at first but with continuous wear they have really molded to my foot! I great deal considering I am short and couldn't wear the adult boot without it coming up to my knee. Plus these are half the price! I love them.

This is my third pair of Frye boots. I wear a size two children's shoes and the first two pairs are bigger than this pair. I really like the style and the quality of leather. They are a little narrow but I can wear them with tights.
I'd also recommend: keen

I bought these for my three year old daughter and she loves them! She will not stop wearing them. She has had them for about 7 months and they still look great. She gets so many people asking about them and telling her they are so cute. She loves it because she had Frye boots like mommy. I will buy them again in the next size as soon as they are small and then her little sister can use them next. Love these boots!

Cute shoe. Better for a boy than girl. Very short shaft, I would have liked it to be higher. Overall high quality shoe, nice leather and well made. No complaints. Just not my style. Too masculine, thus my rating of a 3 for style. But it looks just like photo and if you want something boyish, it will be adorable and perfect.
