Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I love these. I wear them with everything and I get a ton of compliments. Don't let the studs, or the scuffs and pre-worn look scare you. I was hesitant and thought they might look a bit posey, but they're absolutely perfect. And they're comfortable and high-quality. Just like my other Fryes. ;)

I ordered three different pairs of Frye boots from Zappos and returned them all because of incorrect sizing and they were uncomfortable. Then I found the Frye Jenna disc short (which I purchased somewhere else because Zappos didn't have them yet!) and I finally found a pair of Fryes that were comfortable and I kept. I love these boots. They are a great mid calf boot and very stylish. The discs add a little "bling" to an otherwise ordinary boot. I did order a 1/2 size smaller than my usual shoe size because I will be wearing them with a thin sock. There is plenty of room in the calf (and I have muscular calves) to tuck in your jeans. They did require some breaking in, about three wears. Now they are super comfortable. If you want to wear them with a thick sock, order your regular size. These are very unique and super cute boots. I highly recommend them!

Order your true size. I'm mildly obsessed with Frye boots and these Jenna's do NOT disappoint! The only thing is that this pair is more accurate sizing than my other Frye's. I have Heath, cowboy, Belted Harness, Mules, and Oxfords and every pair is a size 9.5. I wear size 10 in all other shoes. I ordered the 9.5 in these, thinking the fit would be comparable to the others, but it is SHORTER in LENGTH. Therefore, I find it TRUE TO SIZE. On another note, they're bad ace!

These are a truly beautiful pair of boots. I have worn Frye for years and sadly these are the first pair I am having a hard time breaking in. They are very heavy and stiff. If I had more self control I would have returned them. I am hoping eventually they feel as beautiful as they look.

I own nine pairs of Frye boots, these are my favorites. They were snug but not pinching right out of the box and unlike my Rogan engineers easy to pull on from the start. After a couple of days of breaking in I can walk all day in them. Cute, vintage, stylish, I may never take them off!
