I have the same take as the first reviewer. These boots are amazingly comfortable and well-made, but I had hoped they'd look less vintage/worn than they appear online. The black leather is too dull and worn looking. I wish Frye would make a similar style in a more refined version. I like that the heel is just a smidge higher than flat. I'm sure someone will love this look, and you can be sure they're typical wonderful Frye quality. (Sizing was right on for me. I wear a 10 and these are a comfortable 10 fit.) Zipper was a bit hard to open and close, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I purchased these boots a few weeks ago. As I do with all my Frye leather, I treated them with Frye Leather Conditioning Cream. It somewhat reduced the distressed look & made them appear a lot blacker. I love these & get many compliments.

I usually wear a 9 sending them back for 1/2 size larger...was tight around the upper part of my toes.

This is my third pair of Fryes. My other two pairs are 8s, my usual size, and I'll admit right now that my feet a just a smidge wider than normal width - not quite wide enough for wide width, but just wide enough to make shoe shopping difficult. These were much narrower than my other two pairs, so I returned them for an 8.5. They're a little roomy in the heel, but otherwise fit great. Good arch support and cushioning. Love their attitude. Once you go Frye, you'll never go back!

Bad fit - beautiful boot. This is way too loose around the ankle. I thought the buckled strap and zipper meant I could finally wear a Frye boot, but no. Mix that with too tight across wide part of toes, makes an uncomfortable, awkward fit, terrible for walking. I'm really disappointed, as I love the quality of materials, construction and look.

"The perfect boots" didn't fit! I ordered a size up so I can wear thick socks, and they're still too small - width mostly. Distressed leather was a bit too distressed - especially on the platform.

These run a bit small, so order accordingly. They are incredibly comfortable, and very edgy. I love the distressed leather, and the low shaft height and heel.

These are great boots, but beware of sizing. Order at least a half size larger than your usual size. That's with thin socks. The zippers could definitely be work more smoothly, especially for the price.

Love these boots, but I'm partial to Fryes. The fit is normal...I wear an 8 in shoes, and these are great. My Frye harness boots and clogs are 7 1/2 though. I followed the suggestion to wax the boots and like the result.

I love these boots. They are my get around running errands shoe...(in style of course). They pair nicely with skinny jeans. I gave it 4 stars on the overall because they were a bit difficult to get on my feet at first and I have narrow feet.

I love these booties. Great quality: I have had a couple of other pairs of Frye's, and I really like this leather-even though it is antiqued it is still high quality and not too worn. My only complaint is the sizing is very different than the 3 other pairs I own: I wear an 8.5 in all the others, and the 8.5 in this model is a bit too small, especially the Right one, and my left foot is bigger. So I would say order your normal size, because I usually wear a 9 in other brands, and a 9 would have fit me better but I wore them outside before I figured out they were pinching a bit.

I have two pairs of size 10 Frye's, and they both fit perfectly. The 10's in this style were so small they wouldn't fit on my foot. Having said that, they are beautifully constructed, versatile, and cool in a very understated way. The pair I got on Zappos are going back, but I just ordered a size 11 off the Frye website. Here's hoping they fit...
