I love these boots. I stand on my feet all day at work and these are so comfy. They look great with dresses, skirts and jeans. They hit right about mid-calf on me, which I like a lot. I especially love ordering anything from Zappos, I am always astounded at how fast anything is delivered, and returns couldn't be any easier. If I'm online looking for anything, I always check for it first on Zappos! Thank you!

Love the boot. Ordered an 8 and kept it. Felt tight at first (almost felt too tight to wear) but stretched a lot with wear. Wish I would have ordered a 7.5. Super cute, though and I will just wear thicker socks now.

Absolutely love these boots. I got the stone-stonewash color, and they look just like the picture. They were true to size, and felt rather tight in the front-foot area (I have exactly medium-width feet), but this loosened after a day of wear. Good boots do need a little breaking in when they're brand new. These look great with skirts, jeans, shorts, whatever! They are also a little slouchy and that is to say, loose in the calves, and I have muscular calves. Also there is no tread at all on the sole. I kinda slip around on my wood floors, which worries me a little (but not enough to make me second-guess my love for them!). All in all, a fantastic buy, and at this huge discount off MSRP, a steal!

I ordered the Frye Heath Outside Zip in Stone (stonewash), hoping for something new and unique to add to my boot collection (I have over three dozen). I was not disappointed! These boots are a little shorter than I thought they would be, coming up about mid-calf on me (and I am 5'2" tall), but I think this makes them look even better with shorter skirts, since I will be able to show a little more leg. I have another pair of Frye boots that are shorter and in a size 6, so I went with that same size and wasn't disappointed in fit, either. I typically take a 5 or 5½ in shoes but always get size 6 in boots so that I can wear them with thick socks. Consider these points when ordering, as it depends on whether or not you will be wearing tights, socks, more than one pair of socks, etc. with these boots. As far as comfort is concerned, although I have not taken these boots out for a long stroll as it is too warm, I have given them a test drive around my apartment and I have not had any discomfort. The zipper is easy-gliding, although to be honest I can get my medium-sized calves in and out of the boots without using the zippers. The leather is supple, soft, and definitely gorgeous in the stone wash, which I recommend highly. Fit if fantastic and comfortable, height is mid-calf, and aesthetically, these boots will cause other women to want to steal them right off your feet!

I ordered these in the taller version and I love them. I really debated on which shaft height to get and went with the taller as I have the harness in this height already. I own 4 pairs of Frye boots (sad, I know) and love these. They are not a polished look, but rather casual/boho. I ordered in maple and love them. As others have said, they are slouchy in the ankle, but I like the look and find it is much easier to tuck in jeans. I wear an 8.5 in my Campus & Engineer and an 8 in the harness. I ordered these in my usual 8.5 and they are nice. Possibly could have sized down, but no break in this way and I prefer my boots a little sloppy. Whichever shaft height you order, you will love these!

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I was so excited to get these and couldn't wait to wear them. I ordered my regular size, as well as, one size up. I couldn't even get the larger size on my foot! I have now had the problem with Frye boots twice, and sadly have come to terms that I am not able to wear Frye boots.

Initially ordered size 6 1/2 for my normal size 7 foot based on previous reviews. Couldn't get my foot in boot (I have slightly high arch). Reorderd boot in size 7 and they are perfect. Good height and width for my 5'2 frame. Will waterproof and add some skid resistance to soles before I hit any wet streets in them. Classic look!

These boots are beautiful! The look, feel, and smell of the leather is heaven. I love that they are not rigid and fitted to the leg like most boots out there. They have a lived in look and feel that give the impression they have had a lot of love, which I find charming and attractive. And the Maple color is rich and gorgeous. I felt the size definitely runs large (I usually wear an 8.5-9, but the size 8 Frye boot fits me perfectly) but they are very comfortable. They are certainly an investment but if you can, buy these boots. They are worth every penny!

These boots are gorgeous! I love them and I can't seem to stop wearing them. The leather is super soft and supple. They are unbelievably comfortable. I have bunions and need a larger toe box" on a shoe; the square toe on these boots is perfect. They look great with jeans and super cute with a skirt. I also tried the taller version and preferred the look of these. They are well worth the $$$. You can tell that they'll last forever, and only get better with age. Enjoy!

I have tried several Frye boots and love them all; at first, I was leery about purchasing a zippered boot but when I could get them on with unzipping, the fit was like a glove; very soft leather; gorgeous color (maple); my feet are med-wide so I got a 1/2 size up and glad that I did. With Frye boots, you really never know until you try it on--for me, it took 3 pairs of Harness to find a pair that fit (1/2 size up); 2 pairs of Harness mules (reg size); Campus 10 in (reg size); Cavalry (1/2 size up). Frye has such good quality leather and everything is hand made to make each unique. Heaths are great w/jeans/cords; and I am sure will look great w/ skirts, too. The heel is lower than the Harness/Campus styles, more like a riding boot. Very comfortable right out of the box. Beware, the soles are leather--(not an issue with me). The "slouch" or softness of the leather only adds to the character which makes them look and feel like you've had them forever. Gorgeous boot---I would highly recommend even though the price is a bit much---it's a nice way to treat yourself!

Well worth the price. These boots are amazing! I got them in sapphire and it is a gorgeous, deep neutral blue. I'm between a 5 and 6 with wide feet, and size 6 fit perfectly, with no tightness or pinching anywhere. Unlike other Fryes, there has been no painful break-in period at all. They do have the typical loose heel, and the shaft is wide for my skinny legs, but the mid-height actually helps to make my calves look wider, which is good in my case. The leather is soft and durable without being stiff. I had to return the 12R harness boots due to stiffness and not being able to get my foot into the boot. These slip right on without even using the zipper. Be aware the zipper pull jangles when you walk.

These Heath Frye boots have a great look and have a little padding underfoot. They are a soft rugged leather, dark, dark, brown almost black...I bought the goatskin.\r\nFrom the moment I put them on I was able to shop all day in them with no break in time. They are very comfortable.\r\n\r\nI would highly recommend this boot to anyone interested.\r\n\r\nZappos was great. I ordered my boots in the afternoon and they were at my door the very next day!

Beautiful boot. A little slouchy which I liked. Easy on and off with the zipper. The toe box is a little tight compared with the Frye 12R. Ended up with those instead of these. Runs half size too big.
