Super comfy and look great. In REALLY cold weather my feet are freezing, even in heavy socks. They are pretty beat up looking already (have only had them for a month) but I love them.

The shafts are pleasantly wide very good for those of us with muscular calves - I can comfortably tuck jeans into them. In the foot, they run true to size if you’re wearing a sock. If you want to wear them with just tights or a thin "trouser" sock, size down. The heel does (and should!) slip, as with any good boot of this type. They are quite comfortable. The leather is *very* soft. It is not the sturdy, last-for-decades leather of the original Campus or Harness styles, and feels more like garment leather. I’m not sure how durable these will prove to be, and think they are quite over-priced for the quality compared to other Frye boots. The softness of the leather makes the shafts rather slouchy, so make sure that’s the look you’re going for. The soles are *extremely* slick, even by leather sole standards, so be careful on carpets, and if you live where there is snow or ice, you might want to look into having a cobbler add something to the forefoot. I do love the look of these and appreciate that they are quite accommodating in calf, but I’ll be sending them back.

Very nice! I found these to be a little big, so a gel insert would be perfect. I have a narrow foot, and I could have gotten away with a 7 and a half instead of my usual size 8. I have the Maple color, which I love. There is plenty of room to tuck in jeans. The shaft is kind of big, so they actually look better with a regular skinny jean than a (super tight) cigarette jean. You could probably get away with a straight-leg also. The quality is excellent, and I know I will wear these for years. The heel is rubber, which is nice, but the front part of the bottom of the boot can be slippery on certain surfaces, so I am going to have a shoemaker add something to the sole.

Well worth the price. These boots are amazing! I got them in sapphire and it is a gorgeous, deep neutral blue. I'm between a 5 and 6 with wide feet, and size 6 fit perfectly, with no tightness or pinching anywhere. Unlike other Fryes, there has been no painful break-in period at all. They do have the typical loose heel, and the shaft is wide for my skinny legs, but the mid-height actually helps to make my calves look wider, which is good in my case. The leather is soft and durable without being stiff. I had to return the 12R harness boots due to stiffness and not being able to get my foot into the boot. These slip right on without even using the zipper. Be aware the zipper pull jangles when you walk.

Super cute! A little on the narrow side so probably not a good fit if you have wide feet. Looks great with jeans and skirts. These have become a staple in my wardrobe.

The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye is the oldest continuously operating shoe company in the United States. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Many New England families during the mid and late 1800’s wore Frye boots as they pioneered across the country to the West.

Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.

In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.

The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

This is my first pair of Frye boots. I have been wanting to get some for a couple of years but couldn\'t decide what style to get. This boot is beautiful and very, very comfortable. The heel is loose, somewhat sloppy, but after wearing them several times I\'ve gotten used to it and I wear thicker socks as well. I was a little disappointed that the shaft was sort of slouchy - I was hoping that it would be more form fitting. Overall I like the boots. I couldn\'t believe how comfortable they were. They look great with all my pants. They were true to size. I would highly recommend them.

I have been looking high and low for new boots this year, and the closest I found to comfortable boots was the Kenneth Cole Reaction Hello Moto boots. However, I still wanted another pair to rotate in my wardrobe, and I found these! They just came today, and right out of the box they went on my feet and and off to work with me. They are well made, the leather is soft, the boot fit right around my leg, they zipped up all the way, and they felt great on my feet, almost decadent. Like other reviewers, the heel is a little wide and my foot does move around somewhat, but it's not so annoying I would return these. If anything I can always wear thicker socks, but it really didn't bother me that bad. I wore them most of the day to work, and later running errands and all I can say is I really like these! My only complaint is the soles do not have great traction; I did slide around on some ice wearing these today. Also the price is kind of more than I wanted to spend, but I'm not returning them! Now I'm drooling over the Frye Heath Moto boots.

These boots run large. I'm usually an 8, but the 7.5 fits perfectly. These are amazing boots. Beautifully made, worth the price and will be stylish for a lifetime.

I love my boots! They are such a beautiful color and a great fit. The zippers are lovely and glide smoothly. The leather is soft, supple and smells wonderful. I want to wear them everyday.

These Heath Frye boots have a great look and have a little padding underfoot. They are a soft rugged leather, dark, dark, brown almost black...I bought the goatskin.\r\nFrom the moment I put them on I was able to shop all day in them with no break in time. They are very comfortable.\r\n\r\nI would highly recommend this boot to anyone interested.\r\n\r\nZappos was great. I ordered my boots in the afternoon and they were at my door the very next day!

Beautiful boot. A little slouchy which I liked. Easy on and off with the zipper. The toe box is a little tight compared with the Frye 12R. Ended up with those instead of these. Runs half size too big.

These are the boots I have been looking for. They are soft and supple right out of the box. I selected the maple color and found it even more beautiful in person. These are stylish and timeless boots. They fit my slightly narrow foot well. I ordered the 8.5 and it fit like a glove.

Too loose in the heel. It breaks my heart to return these boots. I love the look. However, the heel/ankle area is loose and has no shape so there is nothing to keep your feet in the boots! There was horrible heel slippage with every step. I normally wear 8.5 or 9, and the heel slippage occurred with both sizes. I even tried to go down to an 8, but the heel slippage was just as bad. Frye should increase the height of the heel box, shape it, and use leather that is a little harder.

These boots are fabulous looking. They run narrower than the other Frye boots and shoes I wear in the same size. I needed to have them stretched. They are also a little rigid and will require a fair amount of wearing to feel as comfortable as my other Fryes. But I'm glad I own them, and I think they'll be around a lot longer than I am.

I love these boots. The worn leather is perfect. They are very comfortable and since I have very muscular calves so knee high boots that fit me are hard to find. I liked the idea of a boot that wasn't as high. The only thing I don't like is the outside zip. But I couldn't pass up these boots because everything else was so perfect about them. I would definitely recommend these to everyone who likes boots that are a little rough-looking.

My Heath Outside Zips are the bomb! I was in love with them the minute I tried them on. They have a roomy fit so I can wear them with any kind of socks. I am almost always an 8 and these are a roomy 8, which I love. The leather is delicious, very authentic and a little worn in looking, just what I was after. I chose the Maple color. I am normally a major all black person, but I felt like trying a brown that could also be worn with black; it's the perfect choice if you are on the fence. I think I am wearing them out; I never want to wear anything else. A very cool boot, making me very happy.

I ordered a 9.5 originally; that's what I usually wear. The 9.5 was way too big. So I returned them and got a 9; it fits good. Like all boots, I will need to break them in a bit, but I love them. Great quality! I still need to wear thick socks in the 9 because the heel slips just a bit.

Love the boots! Great craftsmanship. They are a beautiful blue color dark enough not to be too flashy. Look great with jeans or trouser jeans. I would wear with a long skirt as long as the skirt was not too dressy. As usual, Zappos customer service, second to none.

These boots are amazing! Extremely comfortable. I was able to wear them all day the first day I wore them without any problems. For me they are true to size, however, I will not be able to wear a thicker sock.

I wasn't sure these boots would fit (I have a high instep), but I decided to take a chance on them anyhow. I absolutely love them. They were a little big (I ordered a size up to accommodate any fit issues), but that problem is easily solved by wearing thick socks. They are by far the most comfortable pair of boots I own. And most impressive of all, I can walk long distances in them. I walk to and from class, about a mile each way, and my feet never cramp or get sore. I love the soft blue leather, and zipper ring detail. Lovely pair of boots all around.
