OK now these boots HAVE to be THE best boots Zappos ever sold!!!! Are any of you familiar with UGG boots? Well these have the comfy-and-warmth factor of the interior of UGG boots, only with a whole better style on the exterior!!! (because UGG boots are.....well....UG-LY on women!) However, THESE Frye Shearling boots are SPECTACULAR BOOTS!!! Picture being able to just slip your BARE foot into your OUTDOOR (or indoor too) boots and be comfy and warm! (you CAN wear these with socks too). Just be warned though, order a size to allow for more room because the fleece takes up room on the inside. I normally take an 8 in Frye boots but needed to exchange these for an 8.5 because they JUST fit barefooted (and with a sock would never be comfy) and I like a bit of room, too. Really cool looking boots, too...and the leather and construction and quality in general is top notch. I ordered both colors! WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!! You cannot "kill" these boots and I wear mine a lot and own many pairs in other styles (all purchased from Zappos of course). I hope they decide to make these in even more colors, too!!! These boots top any and all gifts you could give or receive! VERY COOL FRYE!

Love this boot! Fits true to size! It's very warm with the shearling wool inside. The only thing I found interesting is they are heavy. I wear a lot of Keen shoes. Wonderful boot.

Beautiful, I can't say it too many times, this is a great boot company, I had these boots in my 20's and then gained weight, and couldn't get them over my calf. Thanks for the shorts. Big secret: with the sherpa it was easy to get on, but for all those who cant get the boot on, use a plastic bag. Put the bag on your foot, slide the boot on. The bag will break as your foot slips it and you can remove the bag and your foot will slide easily on.

Nicely snug but not pinched at the front, a little loose in the heel but nothing worrisome; these look great and are super warm, but be aware: they're heavy enough to resemble ankle weights.

I just got this boot in black...of course it got here at the speed of light - that would be Zappos. They are so comfortable...true to size. I wear 7.5 - I'm wearing them in the snow here in Vermont. They are turning into my winter boots. I wore them all day the first day and several all days thereafter...love these boots!

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I wish I could say I love these boots, but I don't. They are too long and it looks like I stole my husband's boots to wear. The good: very warm, beautiful brown leather, Frye quality. The bad: because of the shearling they are an odd shape and freakishly long. I am a 7 and a half, but a 7 in Frye. Neither the 7 nor the 6 and a half fit. I am stuck though with them because I wore the 7s outside thinking they would be OK but they are not. This price is a lot to lose... Very bummed because I am always cold but hate Uggs. Didn't realize what a mistake I was making and now am out the cash. However, the delivery was lightening fast!
