Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI have searched for the perfect boots for awhile and actually ordered several different styles and colors from Zappos. Their service was wonderful and efficient as always...I finally decided on the Frye Harness boot in Crazy Horse and IT IS PERFECT!!!!! I ordered a size down which fit just right and they were comfortable as soon as I put them on - they look like I've had them for years and I plan owning them forever!!

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI LOVE this boot! I am pretty much always a 9.5 in shoes and when I received the 9.5 they were a little too big but Zappos had the 9 shipped out to me the next day! I ordered them in the chocolate vintage and I love the color.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthExcellent boots. So glad I bought them. Can wear them to work, can wear them out. Well constructed, leather wears well. Surprisingly comfortable. Other reviews I read before buying said I'd cry every time I wear them... this was not my experience, even from first time wearing. I wear with a decent pair of socks (thin hiking socks) and have had no problems at all. In fact, I even walk my dogs in them when I get home from work!

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: No arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI hoped to get these for Christmas. So glad I treated myself! They're beautifully made and 'crazy horse brown' is a beautiful distressed golden brown pebbly leather. Usually wear a 9 1/2. Ordered a 9 and they're perfect. I wear orthotics which fit perfectly. After reading some of the other reviews I thought they would take a while to break in. Mine felt great from the first time I put them on. The upper portion is not too wide and looks neat and trim with leggings and skinny jeans. They should be a staple in any well dressed woman's wardrobe! I only wish I could wear them to work but they are a bit too rugged for my particular workplace.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedBeautiful boots, very well-made. I had to order a size up because they do fit a bit narrow for my wide feet. However, other cowboy boots I have bought take a while to break in, so I am expecting that to be the case here, too.
Additional Brand Information
The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye is the oldest continuously operating shoe company in the United States. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Many New England families during the mid and late 1800’s wore Frye boots as they pioneered across the country to the West.
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI originally wanted more of a biker boot so I ordered a pair of the Angel boots from Lucky I totally loved them online and finally built up my courage and my funds and ordered them. I am not a big person and they came up almost to half way up my knee and they were as big in the calf as my wellies. I have a girlfriend that griped for years about how boots are too tight in the calf and she couldn’t wear them and was distraught, and apparently the fashion world heard her cry and gave up on the rest of us. Well, with tears in my eyes I had to return them and resume my search. Frye boots have intrigued me for some time, the style is a classic, the quality is impeccable and I couldn’t be happier. The leather is AMAZING and as another reviewer wrote, the toe box is a little tight when you first get them, but the leather stretches in the first wearing. The color is amazing and just gets more and more amazing with every wear. I ordered a 7 1/2 as many people were saying that they run a little big and it’s perfect, I’d say I’m usually an 8. I completely love them and they are great for a night out under a pair of jeans. I wear these boots because I can’t wear heels, I have arch issues, and while I doubt these will cure that, and I haven’t attempted to insert my orthotics (never thought I’d use the word "orthotics" while I’m still in my 20s Oy!). They are quite comfortable and the men I associate with who are much more fashion conscious than I am, commented at the first sight of them. I believe the comment was something like, "Wow Alli! Nice boots!" Apparently a step up from my Orthopeodic-functional footwear. I don’t tuck my pant-legs into them, but I guess it could work. I love these boots, they’re just great quality.

I lived in these boots back in 1969- 1974 -- you remember Woodstock, Viet Nam, The Revolution.... So I bought a pair for myself, and my wife. Sure I can\'t bring back the summer of 69' nor can I make the bald spot on my head fill with once what was shoulder length hair, but our feet sure feel great. True fit, old friends, and the attitude lives on...

These are awesome boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The craftsmanship and quality are the best and they took no break-in time! The distressed leather is soft and comfortable. (I also have the shorter 8 in. harness in smooth leather and it took significantly longer to break in.) I wear these boots with skirts and all styles of jeans from skinny's to flares and they look great with everything! Just as perfect with a jeans skirt or for adding edge to a classic velvet pencil skirt.

These boots rock!! They are a little tough to get on though - especially if you have high arches, I'd recommend ordering a half size larger than your normal size.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI am thrilled with these boots!! You can tell how well-made they are from the moment you take them out of the box. Incredible workmanship! I wore them for 8 hours the first day without any problems. They are extremely comfortable. I normally wear a 6 1/2 but I ordered a 6 - they fit perfectly. I would highly recommend them - so very, very fashionable for many outfits from skinny jeans to hippie dresses. If you might be worried that they look too masculine, don't. They do not look clunky at all. LOVE these boots!!!

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedThese are really cute boots! They are a little stiff but I have only worn them once. I hope they will soften over time. I own five pair of Frye boots. I love them all! These boots run a little big. Order a half size down.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI have several pairs of Frye boots (as well as shoes) and they are always a favorite. These are no exception! Loved them the moment I put them on. This is the third pair of harness boots I have purchased and the fit is consistent. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or an 8. They run a tad on the larger side so all my purchases are in 7 1/2 and they fit great. They are comfortable right from the box and just get better over time. Classic. Never go out of style so they are well worth the money. And Zappos service is dependable and excellent!

These are really great boots. I typically have to order a half size up due to a bunion, but I didn't with these. They aren't extra wide, but the leather moves with your foot each time you wear them. They are really comfortable and I get compliments every time I wear them. I feel more "polished" than when I wear my Uggs (which I love too). Being 5'2" this was a good size for me since it is not comfortable when boots hit at the bend in my knee. I should ask for a pair of Fryes every year for Christmas. I love them.

I love these boots and have gotten so many compliments when I wear them. I did read the reviews of others prior to ordering so I did indeed order the right size. My normal size is a 6.5 or 7. I ordered a 6.5 and they are perfect. The other reviews suggested to go smaller rather than larger. They are thick leather and there is a spot that needs to wear in a bit, but not bad that I cannot wear from day one.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Arch: No arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthIt's a great style, great quality boots with the perfect Zappos service. It is a unbeatable combination for shopping! Although I truly enjoy going out for shopping when it comes to shoes I prefer online shopping at Zappos. The only little problem I observe was the inner side of the harness gave me a rush since it was rubbing onto calf-part of my leg. Other than that I love my boots and I truly enjoy shopping at Zappos.

Great boots. Can't beat Frye comfort, style and durability. I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly. These boots will be stiff for about 3 days until broken in and then they will be molded to your feet. I wear them all of the time (bought the black and later the brown). You simply cannot beat Zappos for customer service and shipping. A winning combination!

Waited for well over a year to buy these. Every time the new catalog would arrive, I\'d find the page with these boots listed, then read and re-read the description. Finally decided my husband was buying them for me for Christmas. I am so happy I finally ordered them! They are true to size, very comfortable to wear, and look great. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

I had pined over these boots for 6 months before splurging on them as a Christmas present for myself. I am not one who buys shoes often and am typically quite frugal, but all the reviews convinced me about how "cool" I would feel, how comfortable the boots are, and how they would last for at least 10 years. I have admired the motorcycle boot look for some time, and I thought these shoes would be worth the investment. Sadly, they were not. I hardly ever wear them because they are so uncomfortable. They are tight and stiff and not at all conducive to walking much. Maybe for women who are accustomed to wearing extremely uncomfortable shoes (high heels), these are comfortable in comparison. In my case, none of my dress shoes exceed a 2" height, and are all stacked or wedge heels. I just cannot bring myself to wear shoes that make my feet hurt. When I dress casually, you will usually find me in soft, roomy shoes, often with a lug sole. The clunkiness of such shoes detract from the long length of my feet (I wear an 11), which is nice. However, the slim profile of these boots give me the "banana foot" look, which makes me self-conscious, and I do not at all feel "cool" when I see people checking out my highly conspicuous huge boots!
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: Any other uncomfortable brand of shoe would probably be good for people who liked these shoes.
