Just got these last week and they are gorgeous. The quality is very good-what you'd expect from Frye. These are super tall with the platform but are actually padded nicely and comfortable.
Brands I'd also recommend: Luv my Fryes!!

Fine leather crafting from Frye, as always. A good fit with surprising comfort for such a high heel. Great with season's flare jeans. Whoa Nellie, shipping from Zappos. The shoes showed up at my door super fast.
Brands I'd also recommend: perhaps Ugg for more comfort; Tory Burch, Marc Jacob, Donald Pliner, Juicy Couture for more upscale

I can't wait to wear these shoes. I ordered the 8 in slate but they were too tight. They are gorgeous. I returned them and ordered the 8.5. I love Frye boots and these sandals have the same great quality that their boots have. Frye products are always high quality at a reasonable price in my opinion. As usual, Zappos customer service knocked one out of the park on delivery. I'm not worthy.

These are exquisite shoes. The leather is soft and luxurious, and the detailing is just gorgeously done. I especially love the way the vamp wraps around the back of the platform. The shoe is also extremely well made, sturdy and comfortable with a padded, soft leather insole which is important because genuine leather allows your feet to breathe. They are stylish and sensible, this shoe is gorgeous and will last a long time.
Brands I'd also recommend: lucky, fossil, bolo, sofft

These are beautifully hued shoes that are moderately comfortable, which is amazing considering their height. The footbed is padded, so you can walk around in them for work. However, I took mine from work to shopping to a concert, and that was a bad idea. Just do not push your luck, I guess. They are very well made, as per the norm for Frye.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.
