I almost didn't buy these because of the calf measurements, but so glad I did! These work both over and under jeans. I was worried about wearing the red boots with dark denim, that the blue dye would rub off. I had them coated in a weatherproof spray, but the cobbler says it can't be avoided. The fit is a little big, but narrow in the toe. Ive never worn cowboy style boots before, so the fit takes some getting used to. Stuffing big socks into them doesn't make them fit better. I only wish it would stop raining so that I could wear these every day.

I love these boots! They are a rich, warm shade of red -- neither too dark nor too Superman-ish, they are easy to pull on and take off, and with just the right heel -height. They work well worn over jeans, with my skinny jeans tucked in, and with some of my skirts when I want to inject a bit of fun into my mostly-dark wardrobe. They are well worth the price and the inconvenience of trying to get them shipped into Canada. If you wonderful Zappos people would start shipping directly to your eager Canadian fans up here you would make a lot of people like me very happy!

I ordered these boots to wear to a concert. I ended up walking about 1.5 miles in them the first time I wore them and they were great. The fit was great and they are very comfortable. Love the color. I wear an 8.5 and the fit was perfect.

I got these last year in cognac and love them! I agree that they definitely run 1/2 size too big. I wear between a 7 1/2 and 8, and I got a 7 1/2, but I still have to wear thick socks with them. I'm hoping they don't stretch. These boots go with everything; they are really comfy and get lots of compliments. Love!

Great boot! Perfect height. I purchased in red and blue. I usually wear a size 8 but after reading previous review I went with size 7.5 and they fit perfect! Love them!

These boots are beautiful. I didn't think I would like a lower heel but these look terrific. The leather is high quality and soft. The boots fit like a glove. They are very similar in style to the "Taylor" Frye boot, just a lower heel. I'll wear these for years. Well worth the investment.

I love these boots! These are the most comfortable shoes I own! I normally wear an 8.5 in most shoes, or a 9 in sneakers and the size 8 in these fit me perfect! They probably fit me better than any shoe I've ever owned. They have padding on the inside for extra support and comfort. I feel like I'm wearing sneakers when I'm wearing these! I got the burnt red color, it was the only color available in my size besides navy. The color is pretty accurate to the picture shown here, maybe a tiny bit more red/brighter. I was hesitant about getting the red, but they are fun, sexy, unique and will match my wardrobe great. The only thing I'm confused about is they're made in Mexico? I thought Frye were supposed to be American made? Anyway, this is a great boot! I know these will last for many years and I will be looking forward to getting more colors in this style!

I love these boots. I do not find that they run large as most people say. I have a wider foot and actually take them 1/2 size larger than usual. This fawn color is great for spring!

Gorgeous boots, runs a 1/2 size large. Cowboy boots should fit a little snug and they stretch over time. This leather is so supple it is really going to stretch! Beautiful boot!

Love them. Went down to 8.5 from previous size 9 and they fit perfectly. Color is fantastic, a true burnt vibrant color (not siren trashy red).

Love these boots. The fit, the color, the feel, the leather. Really appreciated the comments of other viewers -- I ordered a half size smaller than usual and it was definitely the right thing to do. Also, I knew they'd be a wee bit hard to pull on until I get used to it, as several others wrote, so I wasn't spooked when it happened to me. I don't usually spend this much on shoes/boots but I feel they are worth every penny.

For months I dreamed of these boots. I would "visit" them on the Zappos website almost daily, but I thought they were too pricey to justify buying them. In a moment of weakness, I gave in and ordered them. I am happy to report that I have zero regrets or remorse. I literally haven't taken these boots off since I got them (except to sleep, of course). The style is classic, the fit is amazingly comfortable and the craftsmanship is undeniable. Worth every penny!

I live my new boots! The leather is butter soft, no breaking in was necessary, my feet are on the wider end of medium = the width fits nicely. They don't mash on my bunion, my heel does not slide around, the toe shape is interesting peeking through the bottom of my jeans - I dislike overly plain toe boxes. I don't wear them, but skinny jeans would fit nicely inside. The top of the boot is only slightly wider than the ankle, looks sleek, not overly western. I did get grip soles on the front portion, they are very slippery on carpet, a hazard with most leather soles.
