My favorite boots ever! I've worn these every day for the past couple of months! (and I own LOTS of shoes and boots) I love them. They are very comfortable and coordinate with everything from jeans to skirts for a casual, funky look. I'm considering another pair in brown! They are so well made, they’ll last for decades. They are very well made, will last for decades.
Brands I'd also recommend: Any other Frye boot or shoe. Durango is a slow 2nd.

Favorite all-around boot. Best boot I have. I have several others, but this is the one I choose most often for long Harley trips or when I know I'm going to have to stand or walk for a long period of time. It's holding up very well and the leather is the best I've ever seen.
Brands I'd also recommend: for comfort style and durability, Fryes are the best.

These are my first pair of Frye Boots, and I love them! They are a little heavier than other boots that I\'m used to, and did take about a week to break in, but now they are super comfortable and I can wear them all day. They seem to be impervious to rain, and are beautifully made. I was a little concerned when I ordered them that the 6 1/2 was going to be big, because I often wear a 6 (which was out of stock) and other reviewers said the boots tended to run big, but the size is perfect except for a little slippage in the heel. That was easily corrected with a heel pad and a heavier sock. My only regret is that I don\'t also own them in the taller version in black - that\'s next!

I have 2 pais of the Campus classic style (14L) and bought these as a shorter boot alternative. They are not the same style! The heel is narrower although this is not apparent in the photo. This throws off the proportions and as a result the boot doesn't have the same chunky care free style as the original. I am returning this one without any hesitation. It's not a style I would wear even if it were a quarter the price.

Made in America is the primary reason I chose these. If we support American manufacturers we can grow our economy! The boots fit true to size and are awesome. Beautiful leather; very well made and should provide years of wear. Zappos, thank you for offering products made in the USA. I'm trying to decide which pair of American made cowboy boots to buy next!
Brands I'd also recommend: any brand that is made in the USA

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.
