Great! I ordered my normal size and width and wore the shoes right out of the box with *no* discomfort whatsoever. Very, very cute *and* comfy. In fact, these are so-oo comfortable that I'm seriously considering purchasing them in yellow, too.
Other Brands Recommended by Reviewer: Far too many to mention but *anything* by the great Elie Tahari is super-fantastic, IMO.

I ordered these in the yellow color, and they were super cute and looked exactly like I expected them to based on the website. However, just by trying them on for five minutes, I could tell they were going to absolutely kill my feet. The sides where the leather is woven is very tough on the little toes. Would have loved to keep them, but will have to sacrifice the cuteness of these for a more comfortable spring shoe.

Painful, painful. These shoes absolutely killed my feet. I am an enthusiastic Frye fan, and have several pairs of their shoes and boots. However, these things ripped my feet apart, literally. After one 5-block walk, I had to go to the nearest pharmacy for blister block, band-aids and whatever else I could get my hands on. I have put those rubbery things in the back around the inside where the heel goes, and that helps that area, but the open toe part really hurts my toes. I am stuck with them, as I have worn them, but seriously, I only wear them when I know I don't have to do much walking and/or standing. Kind of sad, 'cause they're wicked cute.

No pain, no gain - Felt super comfy at first, but then really took a spill w/ some blisters after walking around town in them. The leather softened up a bit and my feet became used to them - and they are great now! I’m usually an 8.5, but got these in an 8 and fit perfectly.

Love it - These shoes are not only beautiful but fun; I disagree with customers who said this shoe is uncomfortable. It is comfortable right out of the box and in case these customers didn't know, high quality leather like this tends to soften after continuous wear. It would be a good idea to make sure that they check their foot size and make sure they get a suitable shoe size. I'll agree that they might not be too good for gals with wide feet, and despite the indication of a 1 inch heel, they do look just like flats (which is fine with me). Great shoes.

Additional Brand Information

The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye is the oldest continuously operating shoe company in the United States. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Many New England families during the mid and late 1800’s wore Frye boots as they pioneered across the country to the West.

Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.

In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.

The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Really cute, but kind of painful - I have worn them once, and while they are adorable, I have gigantic blisters on my feet. They were for sure not made for comfort.

Cute Frye wedge flats - The fuchsia pair are really cute. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them and they're pretty comfortable right out of the box. Should get even more so with wear.

Uncomfortable - The shoes look great but I agree with the reviewer who noted the shoe is inflexible; the leather just did not give. My foot is also slightly wider than average and the band across the front squeezed the sides of my feet something terrible.

Stylish but not a keeper - I ordered this shoe in turquoise. It was really beautiful, and moderately comfortable (squeezed the toes a little, but not awful). My problem was that the heel was lower than I expected - the wedge is really nonexistent. This is essentially a pair of cute flats. To me, they just weren't exactly what I was looking for and therefore were not worth the high price, so I sent them back.

Painful - Gorgeous shoe, unfortunately wearing it around the house for 30min the back of my heels were rubbed raw. Well made, but leather is very hard and shoe is overall inflexible. Also leather outsoles are rather slippery despite the scoring for traction. Too bad, they are so cute.
