I really love Frye, but I always have a hit or miss experience (some boots I can't even get my foot into because of the odd cut). With these shoes, while adorable and of course, well crafted, my big toe pops out between the weaving on top. I strongly advise against these shoes for those who have toenails that are not super flat (it sounds weird, I know). Just a heads up.

The 8.5 size fit my 8.5 size foot snugly, but comfortably; however, I have a narrow foot. You may have to go up a 1/2 size otherwise. Very soft, flexible leather. The dark brown is great-looking.

Have to Love Frye! I love Frye, and this adorable, sophisticated flat is no exception. I can only say that I ordered this shoe LAST NIGHT! It literally only took 15 hours for Zappos to get this to my door! Amazing! I ordered this shoe in Natural and it has a slight peachy color to it - it's ok, but definitly more pinky/peach than the photo. My size is normally anywhere between a 7-8, so I ordered a 7.5 and it's perfect. True to size and comfortable. If I could have I would have gotton a 7 because there is extra space in the pointed part of the toe, and there would be room for me to wear this and allow the leather to stretch. Great shoe overall, just wish the color shown was more accurate for the natural and I wish all the colors were the same price.

Wow! Love you Zappos, love my new Frye Huaraches. Originally saw these in a Macys flyer, but couldn't find a store in my area that carried them. Went to Zappos and not only did you have them, they were on sale! They fit great and look even better. I wear an 8 and they fit fine. You rock!

These are surely a cute pair of shoes. What I cannot understand is why they cost so much. The leather is definitely high-quality, they aren't going to fall apart anytime soon, and for flats, they're pretty comfortable. PRETTY comfortable, not super comfortable. Granted, I haven't broken them in totally (this is my first day wearing them) but as can be expected from flats, there's no arch support and the soles are fairly thin. The "avocado" color is, amazingly, actually the color of avocados-- a muddy sort of yellow. There's very little green in the coloring. I can't decide if I love the color or not, as I was expecting a very light green shoe. All that said I'm pretty happy with them. They're versatile, nicely styled, and good quality. As weird as the color may be, they'll match a lot of things. I think I'll be wearing them for a long time. However, for this price for a tiny pair of flats, I guess I was expecting something spectacular.

Additional Brand Information

The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye is the oldest continuously operating shoe company in the United States. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Many New England families during the mid and late 1800’s wore Frye boots as they pioneered across the country to the West.

Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.

In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.

The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

I ordered these shoes for my birthday, and I got them the day after I ordered which was pretty fast, the only complaint I have for these shoes is that you have to buy your size or a size larger. I followed what everyone said about ordering them a size smaller and it didn’t work for me so I had to send them in to get a larger size but other than that these shoes are beautiful, just order your size.

Beautiful shoe!!! First of all I want to say that I ordered this shoe on Memorial Day (Monday) and my order ended up getting overnight shipping and I received it Tuesday afternoon!!! I couldn't believe the fast service! I wear between a 6 and 7 depending on the shoe and because of previous reviews I ordered a 6. They felt a tad snug at first but I wore them for a good 9 hours yesterday and for that short time they molded to my foot and were actually fairly comfortable ALL day! And I work in a pharmacy so I'm on my feet all day. These shoes are worth every penny!! They are beautiful & comfortable!

OK shoes - These shoes are nice, not really worth the price...Somewhat comfortable, but I do sit at my job, so if I was on my feet all day, I would not recommend...They do make my feet swell...I do have a normal med width foot, but these are not the most comfortable.

These shoes are so awesome but beware they're very wide and you should order at least half a size down. I'm usually a 9 but fryes 8 & 1/2 is almost too big for me. Also remember that the leather requires breaking in. Get the avocado color, you know you want them.

I have the coral ones, and they are great! I originally ordered the natural but they run about a 1/2 size big, so I sent them back and got the coral in a smaller size.
