Great Ballroom Dance Shoe - This shoe is light-weight. The stitching is good. The fit is slightly wider than most. I tried a lot of shoes before I found this one. I have wide feet but I don't have large feet so I find most wide shoes too just too big. I have used these now for a few months. They are comfortable enough for a long night of dancing.

These are very comfortable and the prettiest champagne beige. I have short feet with wide toes and this shoe was the most comfortable in the medium width shoes I’ve tried. The sandal straps are very forgiving of the wider parts of my foot though, so it works great. 2 3/4" heel is pretty high on a small size shoe, but it sure looks elegant! The straps do fray around the holes. They seemed a little frayed when they came as if the mere act of creating the hole frays the fabric.

They fit true to size. Good support. They can be a little difficult to put on because of all the straps, but not so much so as to be considered a hassle.

Great Shoe - I tried a lot of shoes. I don't like narrow tight-fitting shoes. I am a ballroom dancer. This shoe surprises me because it looks sleek and narrow but fits my slightly wide - old guy - foot beautifully. It doesn't pinch. The look is traditional but has a nice look with good stitching and soft leather. Overall, the best oxford dance shoe yet.

These are the most adorable shoes. My daughter has fat feet and so far she has only been able to fit in the Pedipeds, so I was worried about these, but they fit great and seem really comfy. She just turned one and is walking around great in these. Love 'em!

Gold Rush - I struck gold with these gorgeous shoes. I was nervous that the straps would cut into my toes, but I was very surprised. The leather is soft and the straps are very comfortable. The heels are a tad high for me, but despite all that (and my feet being funky and ornery), I can wear these shoes for almost 2-3 hours of salsa dancing). Based on the description, I should have ordered size 6 (since I wear 5.5 in dress shoes). However, I decided to get the 5.5 instead and it was perfect for me. I really love these shoes. I also own a pair of Celebrity shoes which I cannot wear now b/c they pinch my little toes terribly. Saving up my money for another pair of Freed shoes. Zappos has impeccable customer service as always - upgraded my shipping so I received the shoes within 2 days of ordering. That's why I've been a devoted Zappos shopper for years!

Good Zumba shoe!Could use better arch support (I have a high arch), but they are comfortable and work well for class and around town. I ordered a full size up and that worked.

Dance sneaker - I bought this shoe to use when out club/salsa dancing. Granted it might not be a "sexy" woman's dance shoe, but with jeans it works perfectly. I have a wide foot with a high arch and this shoe was very comfortable for 3 hours of dancing the first night I wore them. I used the size chart provided to determine my size and found it was very accurate.

Good for Zumba - Good for Zumba. I bought these because I was taking a class to become a Zumba instructor. I think for one class they would be great. We were on our feet for almost 9 hours so my feet started to hurt around the arches. They did move well and fit my wide foot well.

UNCOMFORTABLE - I usually wear a medium width just fine. These shoes are painful when worn to dance for more than about 30 minutes. I'll have to replace them - and they are expensive!

Great Dance Sneaker - I bought these for a Zumba class and love them. While there is plenty of traction, there is also plenty of slide, and I no longer worry about killing my knee when we pivot and turn. I chose these because I have wide feet and they are a mens' shoe. Part of what gives this shoe good arch support is the split sole that is integral in a dance sneaker, and the elastic cross-closure that makes the shoe stay securely.

Great dance shoe for a wide woman's foot - Searched high and low to find a dance shoe for my Zumba class that would accommodate a wide foot. This is it. Sizing is strange. I wear a 7.5 W needed a 9 in these. Split sole and spin point are great for dance class on wooden floor.

All that jazz! :)DON'T FOLLOW THE SIZING ADVICES AND ORDER YOUR SIZE!!! They all refer to the "man" size. If you are a woman, order your correct size (but of course, reading the "women" part of the sizing combo box). I'm a 7, and following the reviews, on the first try I ordered "women 8.5". Of course, they were one and a half size big :) Second try was 7, and they were perfect.Besides, they are VERY comfortable, and perfect for a beginner dancer :)

London trainer used for ballroom dance lessons - I use the Urban trainer for dance lesson practice for ballroom and rhythm dancing. It is very comfortable and I would recommend it.

Beautiful but not comfortable - These are gorgeous but as soon as I put them on I felt like my toes were being stabbed. I have fairly narrow feet, so this was a surprise. I ordered my size and they fit perfectly (remember dancing shoes should be snug) but the toe opening is so small it was painful. I am very sorry to have to return them. By the way, I ordered at 3pm and the next morning I was already trying them on. Can't beat Zappos!!

Dance Shoes - Overall the shoe is good. I found arch support to be lacking and after two hours of dancing was ready to switch shoes.

They feel super nice and soft, but even though I got 1/2 size larger than street size, my big toe felt crammed in. They are not attractive at all so I may try a different style next time.

Careful with the sizing! After reading the other reviews I initially ordered a size up. When I got them they were HUGE!! I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 and ordered according to the size chart. I am happy to report they fit perfectly. I do prefer that my dance shoes fit snugly, so perhaps it's a matter of preference? Returns are really easy with Zappos, and it's a great shoe, so try it out!

Freed of London review - I think I may have to return this shoe because one of the straps touches right on my little toe. Otherwise it's a great fit. True to size.

Your search ends here...I've never bought ballroom shoes before and figured I'd have to go through several styles and sizes before finding what I wanted. I was wrong; these shoes did not disappoint!

Very pretty - I bought these for a wedding. I wanted something to be able to dance in and still look nice. I bought the 8's (I am a true size 10) because I don't have time to break them in. A little loose as a result. But comfortable and I can do some awesome spins in them!

Pleasantly surprised - Bought for Salsa class- am a beginner and have VERY sensitive feet- worked well-no blisters. Only complaint was sequins chip off like glitter-but it’s black underneath, so more of a nuisance than an eyesore.

Really nice shoes! They fit me very well. I am a size 7 and my foot is wide. Ok followed the size advice from other reviews and ended up with a perfect fit. I use them for dance and exercise dance, and they are great.

The shoe looks nice but the strap is too long and tends to buckle so I would be careful when ordering this shoe.

About Freed of London

Freed of London is the leading pointe shoe distributor in the world. Freed of London was started in 1929 by a cobbler and his wife and quickly word spread within the dance community about their high quality pointe shoes.

Freed of London has 7 different styles of stock pointe shoes, but with over 30 shoe makers, all making pointe shoes slightly differently, and 4 width fitting, hundreds of variations of shoes are in stock at any one time. Freed of London Pointe Shoes are made using the 'turn-shoe' method, whereby the shoes are made inside out and then turned for shaping, drying and binding. This method was used for making all shoes until the 1870's, however, today's outdoor shoes are made the right side out.

All Freed of London shoes are built around a last - moulds around which the shoe is shaped. Freed of London own over 8000 lasts. For outdoor shoes a pair of lasts has a left and a right, Pointe Shoe lasts are one shape for both left and right. All components and ingredients in a Freed Pointe Shoe are biodegradable.

Today, Freed of London is proud to be able to provide dancers worldwide with pointe shoes, dancesport shoes, flamenco shoes, jazz shoes, and many other dance garments and accessories.
