nice fit polo shirt for Asian man - As an asian man, the other polo shirts are too baggy for me even though it said they are slim fit polos. but, this shirt is just right for me. it is fit really well, nice look, and its length is perfect not to be tugged in. Only a complaint is that it can not be put in drier.

This is an excellent shirt and worth all the money. I am 5'6", so I'm a short guy and I have a slim build. If you are a short guy and you wear over-sized clothes, it makes you look like a little kid. If you are short, it's important that everything you wear fits you properly. American labels never have sizes for short guys, so shop for European labels.

From the armpits to waist is much slimmer than classic fit, I wear size M for classic, but had to go 1 size up for slim fit. Quality is excellent, wash with woolite to maintain deep black color. Go with this over classic if you want a trendier fit, however, go 1sz up.

These are well-made shirts. The Fred Perry slim fit polo is not nearly as tight/small as many other clothes that are labeled "slim fit" (particularly high-end and/or European lines). But it is more tailored than the regular fit, which has slightly longer sleeves and seems much wider around the waist.

Just got this polo last week. It's my first slim fit and it fits perfect. Unlike most polos of other brands this one has the right length. This is my first Fred Perry, always wanted one, finally got myself one and already ordered my next one. One of the best features is that the sleeves aren't loose and flap around.

Add This Brand to My Favorites
It was at the end of the 1940s that Fred Perry was approached by Tibby Wegner, a former Austrian footballer, with an idea for marketing a sweatband bearing the Fred Perry name. Fred had previously used gauze wrapped around his wrist to protect the racquet handle from perspiration. The original sweatband was made from bath towel material and "weighed a ton", according to Fred in his autobiography. The redesigned prototype, made in Leicester, was light, soft and pliable. From that moment they were in business. They marketed the sweatbands by giving them away to the top players at the best tournaments, persuading them to wear them on court; the players did, and Fred Perry Sportswear was launched.

Fred Perry soon developed the business with Wegner by making Fred Perry polo shirts. The Fred Perry logo was skillfully merchandised by offering these polo shirts to BBC cameramen, whilst Fred Perry and Dan Maskell both wore them when commentating. They gave polos to all the leading players; it was the era of Hoad, Rosewell and the young Australians, who were only too keen to get their hands on these new items of clothing, since they looked better than the baggy, ill-fitting alternatives.

It was a clever and successful marketing initiative. People became aware of the Fred Perry logo and associated it with Wimbledon, the world's premier tennis tournament, and the world's finest tennis players. The Fred Perry polo shirt hit the jackpot. It was a good product; customers saw it, liked it and bought it. The construction of the cotton piqué shirt, with its open honeycomb stitch and great fit, made it perfect as performance wear for tennis and soon became the shirt of choice for several subcultures throughout the world.

Being very popular among youth again, Fred Perry once was the shirt of choice for several distinctive groups of teenagers throughout the '60s and '70s. Skinheads and Manchester's own 'Perry Boys,' a group of violent football supporters, were among the subcultures that made Fred Perry shirts popular. Although those days are long gone, the Fred Perry laurel logo (usually found on the left chest of the polo shirts) has remained an important staple in the style of today's generation. Especially popular in the indie subculture, the signature fit of the Fred Perry shirt has proven to bridge the gaps of diverse demographics.

Fred Perry shirts are on the expensive side, but they fit perfectly. You could go pick up a cheaper, generic shirt somewhere for less than 1/2 the price, but I guarantee it won't have the same slim, almost tailored fit. Just do not put this one in the dryer...always lay it out to dry.

This slim fit design fits me well and feels good to the body. The fabric is excellent and well suited for a slim body. The only thing I really don't like much is the length of the sleeve, the better if they shorten the sleeve an inch or an inch and a half more. But overall, I like this shirt and and going to buy more if I can find the right color and size.

Looks great and as it say fits snug but not restricting. I use it for work and casual, and it works great for both. Have had it now for three months and have washed it around 12 times and (as long as you follow the wash and dry instructions) it has not faded for me.

I'm normally a Medium but since this Fred Perry is Slim Fit I needed to go one size up to Large. After realizing it wasn't a good fit I contacted customer service who helped me and shipped me a Large (which fit great!). Zappos customer service is amazing! I received my shirt the next day with no hassle. Anyone familiar with this brand knows their polos are high quality! I love this shirt and I love shopping with Zappos!

Great shirt, really low price for FP, and it delivered super quick. I never have any complaints with Zappos. The slim fit cut is perfect too. Not as boxy as polos can tend to be, but not too snug either.

This was advertised as being a slim fit, but this was not the case. The shirt was cut for a shorter, rounder man. The trend is toawrds a slimmer fit, and Fred Perry has completely missed the mark.

I'm 5'6, 150lb and in pretty good shape. I ordered a S and the sleeves seemed a lot tighter than I was used to. I than ordered a M and was not satisfied at all and the sleeves were still very tight, but the shirt was just too baggy. So if you're around my height/size, go with the S.
