I purchased these in both black and camel, and I have not stopped wearing the camel boots since they came (12 hours after ordering. I love the VIP site so very much!) They are exceptionally comfortable right out of the box, and except for a small blister that formed on my ankle while breaking them in, they did not cause any problems with walking. In fact, I have logged about six miles of walking with them since they arrived earlier this week, to no complaints except said blister (which is to be expected). I have also gotten tons of compliments on them already. They just put a smile on my face every time I pull them on. The color on the camel boots is just gorgeous, and really allows you to see the high end details such as the quality sewing on the sections and beautiful dye job on the leather. They certainly look as nice as the Frye riding boots I was seriously considering, and are more than half the price. Unfortunately, the black color does not do the same - they kind of end up looking like an extra boring pair of cheap boots. Even though I thought I would get more use out of the black than the camel (and intended to keep both), I think I am going to send back the black and keep searching for grown-up boots in black for the winter.

LOVE these boots. They glided right on, no pulling at all right over jeans and socks. I travel for work, so these are perfect for European winters and stylish and wonderful!

The boot is cute. I found the boot to be very stiff and could not bend my foot when I walked. It would eventually break in but I have found if a shoe is not comfortable for me from the start I never really wear it. Otherwise, very pretty boot.
Brands I'd also recommend: The Etienne Aigner Captain is very comfortable, not the same simple lines, but a great boot.

Very nice boot. Fits true to size and slightly roomier in the calf area. Lovely leather. I'm 5'2" and wear 7.5, and the boots bunch slightly at the ankle. Overall, a really nice boot for fall and winter!

Beautiful gray color otherwise too bulky, and clunky for my taste. I was drawn to the simplicity of the style but they're just too plain. The leather is stiff as mentioned. Would be a good boot for ladies with athletic calves (like me) who like to tuck their skinny jeans in, with room to spare. Took a chance but not my style so back they go. Love Zappos!

The leather when these boots arrived was very (to the point of painfully) hard, and I developed a pair of healthy sized blisters just on my walk to class. I will be returning these.

The boot was very nice. I sent it back because the color was not what I expected. To smoke is a dark grey to black color. This boot was brown!

I was looking for a riding boot and these were reasonably priced. Overall good boot, I find that they do scratch easily, so I have to be careful with them since I walk around the city a lot. Fit is true to size, I wear a 7 1/2 in heels or flats and 8 in boots and my calves are pretty normal more on the smaller side. My feet are not narrow. Fits great with skinny jeans but if you have issues with boots not fitting with jeans, these boots do not stretch much. I feel that the boot is a little stiff around the ankle area when I walk but it doesn't bother me, I might need to break them down more.

Very beautiful color and very comfortable boots. I'm a big fan of Franco Sarto and went with my usual size 8. I was a little worried about the calves because I have "athletic calves" (I'm 5'7 but my calves are about 15.5 in circumference) and these still fit fine over skinny jeans. I don't have really wide or narrow feet, and these boots fit great around my feet so if you have ordered wide shoes before, you may want to steer clear. My only complaint is I wish it didn't have zippers down each side - only 1 is functional, so the other is really just for style and is a little silly to me. But that's just my personal opinion. I wanted a simple, quality leather riding boot, and I got what I wanted with these. Great, quick shipping from Zappos too!

Was very pleased with these boots. They were comfortable right out of the box, true to size. The calves are a little roomy, but not a problem with jeans tucked in or boot socks. A very good value overall.

I was looking for boots that I could wear to work and walk around in a rainy city like Seattle and I wanted something that resembled riding boots and was on a budget due to the holidays. These boots are not super comfortable but they are not to bad. The boot shaft is somewhat stiff even with me wearing them for a month. I am 5'3" and have small calves since I am Asian. I normally wear a 7½ in flats and 8 in boots and these were true to size. I thought they would be cuter in person but I still kept the boots because I just needed a pair for work. I love Zappos!

I love these boots but wish I had listened to the reviews when others said they were true to size. They are a half size too large and I wear heavier socks but they still feel okay.

Of course, I have always loved Franco Sartos. This is a beautiful boot. Finely crafted, soft and lovely. Very comfortable...but runs a little big. Probably ordering one half size smaller, especially if you have a narrow foot, will fit you good! Enjoy!
