Girls with wide calves... REJOICE! I have approximately 17 inch calves and hardly ever am able to find tall boots that fit well. Not only do these fit well, but I can actually tuck jeans into them! Now, that said, I wear a 9 and always get a half size larger for boots to accommodate socks, etc. So, I got a 9.5, and like I said, it accommodates a thick sock + jeans. However, just a thin sock and no jeans is a good fit, too. Also, I get tons of compliments on these and feel like a total fashion 'yes' when I wear them. I gave these a 4 on comfort since the ankle on the left boot does sort of dig into me, but I think once these are broken in, that won't bother me. They are wonderful to tramp all around the city in and I just wore them out in the disgusting winter slushy mix that came to NYC in October. My feet were warm and DRY! and I assure you, I stepped in more than one slushy puddle that covered even the toes of my boots. Bottom line...not disappointed on any score and I LOVE these boots! I have to give a shout-out to Zappos, too. Thanks for being the leader in on-line shopping (at least in my book)! You guys really have customer service figured out!!!

I absolutely love these boots! They are beautiful and well made. I did not think that I would like the elastic part on the calf, but it gives the boot a little texture and it matches the leather perfectly. If you have skinny legs, the calf will be a little big. It is perfect for tucking your favorite jeans in and looks fine with leggings too. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day and my feet did not feel tired after chasing kindergarteners all day! These are very rich looking boots and they are well worth the money!

Love Franco Sarto boots and was looking for a true pull-on style with no zipper that would work with my extremely high instep. This is it! The stretch panels in back make it work, without compromising the fabulous riding boot style. I have worn these only a couple times now, but I can tell they are only going to get better, softer with a little wear.

I have been looking for a pair of tall, riding-style boots for a while and I have finally found them. I have unfortunately large calves so tall boots almost never fit. However, these boots have a stretchy back that allows them to fit even my calves with jeans tucked in! I got them in my size and they fit nicely. They are comfortable right out of the box. They definitely slouch a little around the ankle but I like the slightly relaxed look. Otherwise, the boots are clean, stylish, and will go with anything. I love them!

OMG the search is finally over! I have bought literally a dozen pairs of boots online only to return them all, but these are the ones! I have bigger calves, and the stretchy material makes them fit like a glove without looking huge. Even if you have more narrow calves these will flex to fit you. The leather is quality which for me (other than the calf issue) was a top priority. This is a great deal for the sale price, and I'm about to order them in brown.

I love these boots! I have an extremely difficult time finding boots that will fit comfortably around my calves. I found these in a Dept store in black and was shocked at how well they fit. I immediately went home to buy the chestnut online. The color is amazing. The fit is outstanding. My search for the perfect boot is over!

I purchased a half size up due to other comments, but I could've ordered my regular size. I'm so happy to have found these boots that actually fit over my jeans and my muscular calves!

I really love these boots. I usually wear them with skirts but the elastic in the back means I can wear them with jeans too. They pull on and off really easily - the only minor issue is that the leather is a little baggier around the ankle than on boots with zippers. And I ordered these boots one evening and they arrived the next morning. Thanks Zappos!

I love these boots! They're so comfortable and easy to wear with skinny jeans. They are a great color and amazing sale price. I'm so glad I bought these. I was nervous about the boots not having a zipper, but they slip on easily and look beautiful. Love!

These boots fit well, but I didn't realize there was a fabric on the back rather than leather all the way around. I would have kept them if there was leather all the way around.

Having wide calves, it's hard to find a pair of knee-high boots that fit. These boots fit perfectly! I get so many compliments on them. Before I bought them, I wasn't sure about the elastic in the back; however, it works for the shoe! The leather is very soft and makes the shoes look more expensive than they actually are.
