I'm always on the search for the elusive crew/knee length socks that don't slip (like my defeets)but these didn't fit the bill. They are also slightly crunchy to the touch so they are not really that comfortable. Finally, if you happen to wear them with your furry slippers you'll end up with all the fuzzy bits on the bottom of your socks :(

Normally, I only buy Smartwool socks but I wanted to try out some other wood socks that were also made in the USA. I will cut to the chase right away - I don't feel these are quite as good as smartwool socks. They're thicker all around, don't fit as tightly which makes them a little prone to bunching. The ankle weave is loose (not enough elastic) which means you will have to pulling these up once or twice in a day. The overall material is a coarser weave and doesn't have the finish of the Smartwool socks. But - for the price of 1 pair of Smartwools - you get 2 here.

Was introduced to the brand a few years ago. Difficult to find in brick and mortar retailers. This lightweight sock is a tight fit, but retains it's ability to; wick moisture, breath, remain in place, and provide comfort. I had ordered 1 package each of the black and tan color. The tan is more of a tan-olive green. Being more of comfort and function over style, I had to keep it!

I buy about 6 pairs of these every year. I guess that statement is all I need to say. Wish they came in other color combination's though.

Nice socks, comfortable to ski in. Wear a 6.5 shoe, small was true to size.

I am very grateful for Zappos.com. I wear a mens size 14 extra wide and it's nearly impossible to find my size in a shoe store with shoes and socks that I actually want. Zappos doesn't have everything in every size, but I shopped on the site for a while and found my size and it was on sale! I have used Zappos for years for shoes and socks and will continue to do so. Thank you, Zappos.com!

Great socks. I wear a 7.5 and the medium size was perfect. They wash well. Only have had a month, but I walk every day for over an hour and so far so good for holding up well. Will definitely buy more of this style. For me in Phoenix, they are perfect for all seasons.

It fit is excellent, one size fits all is always too big. I wear 6 1/2-7, slightly narrow foot, and fox river size small is perfect. Wish you had more styles, would like a thin no show sock as well.

These are very beautiful socks, the colors are prettier than pictured, they are exceptionally warm and soft. The compression areas in the feet make them fit like a leather glove. If you live in a cold climate and just want want warm socks or for winter sports where you get cold feet these are the ticket!

Comfortable and a good fit. I generally don't like socks around my calves but these were very comfortable.

I love these socks. Buying them from Zappos is cheaper than the manufacturer's web site and when the shipping is free how can you lose.

I bought these socks for a trip to Alaska in January. They kept my feet warm and dry in temps down to -44, and are so comfortable I was reluctant to take them off even once I was inside for the night! the field. They stay comfortable and they last- after heavy wear and multiple washings they're still elastic and in good shape. They are thick, but snug and supportive, especially in the arch, and they breathe very well so your feet stay dry. Highly recommended for hiking, camping, or commuting in cold weather.

I love these socks, and I don't rave easily. I wore them for a half-marathon--no blisters. No liners necessary either.
