I don't know why Zappos always has such shiny pics, but it is not a shiny glazed leather, more a darker, matte finish. Otherwise, it's a really nice and roomy structured tote that retains it's shape when empty or sitting. It comes with one of those key and lock bag charms that clinks all the time, but I used some pliers to remove the lock portion, and I can be more incognito! Looks a little big on me since I'm only 5' but the hardware and lines break up the mass of the bag. It looks good. The sides are designed to poof, but you can push them in and I guess train them to stay in more, which I'm going to do. The interior has a large zippered pocket that runs the width of one side, a large slip pocket that runs the width of the other and two smaller slip pockets. I couldn't get my 15 inch Powerbook to really fit in the large slip pocket, but it fits length-wise in the main compartment easily. The straps are comfortable but you definitely feel it if you stuff this bag full. Which you can do without the magnetic snaps straining too much because of the clever little arching tab at the top. It's hard to see in these pictures; check out Fossil's site for a better view.

I ordered this bag with the idea that I could use it for both work and play, but it just wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Honestly, the leather was tough and the bag was kind of dowdy. The vintage aesthetic is great, but it just wasn't as edgy as I had hoped.

Great bag. Large and roomy but not too heavy. I can carry lots of stuff - my laptop or iPad fit easily. Very comfortable. Perfect for fall/winter.

Wow! I love this bag. Love it. I'm being seduced over to Fossil from Coach! I tried literally 10 other bags before finding this one. It's extremely sturdy, well made, attractive, and spacious. I use it as an excellent work bag. It can carry all my files, iPad, lunch, gloves, etc. Love it.

This is a gorgeous bag. Don't buy it. I want to be the only one who has it! Seriously, my only complaint is the snap closure. I wish it zipped to prevent spillage when it gets tipped over.

Love this bag! As an interior designer, I needed something to carry so many things from tape measure to drawings to fabric samples. After an extensive search, I found this bag. It not only functional, but it's beautiful. It's simple, elegant, and with the longer straps, its a breeze to carry. It doesn't come off looking like a tote, which is a good thing, because I often use it as my handbag when I don't have time to switch from work.

Beautiful, well-made bag exactly as described and everything I wanted it to be. The leather is thick but very soft, so don't expect the bag to stand upright unless it's full. The hardware is solid, so with the thick leather the bag is heavy, which I like. Not many pockets so don't expect to organize too many small things. Lots of room for everything. Wonderful bag and I use it all the time, it smartens up anything I'm wearing.

Awesome bag. Intended to use for travel, but I use it every day. Lots of compliments. It holds iPad, lunch, work out clothes, water bottle and so much more. I love carrying it. Soft leather, easy to hang on to. Looks great.

The purchase of the Fossil Vintage Re-Issue North/South Tote was my first purchasing experience with Zappos. I am thrilled. The bag is large enough to hold my laptop, Ipad, Binder and note book all things I need for work with room to spare for my wallet, umbrella, makeup and keys. The straps are sturdy and the leather is a very good quality. I love this bag and carry it almost everyday to work. Zappos deliverd the bag in less than a week. Overall I am very pleased with the bag and the purchasing experience with Zappos. I highly recommend this bag if you have alot to carry to work-it will eliminate the need for you to look like a bag lady. This one bag for me does it all.
