This bag is no longer available anywhere. I bought this from Zappos in early December and apparently it has disappeared from sight. I don’t know why because it’s great bag. It fits all you want, holds tight to your side and looks and feels great. The only drawback is that the strap would be much better if it had a slight grip to it at the top so it wouldn’t slide off your shoulder. I wear it cross-body so it doesn’t matter that much, but that would definitely be an improvement. Definitely worth the price.

The bag looks great, but the width measurement is inaccurate. It is 16" wide not 17-1/2". I bought this to carry around 11"x17" schematics, but the bag just wasn’t wide enough to accommodate the papers.

I bought this bag for my husband who wanted one to carry his laptop and books to the library. This is a very good quality, functional bag that holds its shape well even when it's full of stuff. Unfortunately though the bag is pretty large (17.5" wide), it doesn't hold our 15.4" laptop. So this bag is being returned.

This is a very nice messenger bag and have been enjoying it from day one. The color and quality is very good. Thanks to Zappos' wonderful customer service I was able to compare this with the olive green color next to each other. I decided to go with the Khaki. The bag is quite roomy without being bulky. And it looks very stylish. There is enough room to keep a 15" unibody MacBook Pro. But if you are keeping the laptop inside another soft cover sleeve (like the one from Incase) then it is not going to fit inside the laptop pouch but will fit inside the main compartment easily. The interior is well designed to hold books etc. I wouldn't put too many things inside since the shoulder strap is not that comfortable when the bag is heavy. But for moderate to light loads i.e. laptop + a couple books it is fine. There are two roomy front pockets and 2 zipper pockets (one on the outside and one on the inside) which are very convenient. The zippers appear to be strong and of good quality. I prefer the magnets on the front flaps to velcro found in other bags. It holds well without creating the ripping sound and will last a long time.

This bag is nothing short of awesome. I personally like it because of its rugged look and feel. The last bag I had lasted me about 15 years. I get the feeling this one will last longer. The shoulder strap is very comfortable. It's an easy access bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone. However there is one flaw. Even though it does boast itself as a 17 inch messenger bag. It will not carry a 17 inch laptop in its special pouch. You can use the outer pouch to carry your laptop but only if you're not concerned about the extra padding.

The bag seems well-constructed, with sturdy materials and has plenty of space. I also really like the magnetic closure which allows easy access without snaps or buckles. This was a big plus for me. The strap is comfortable, though there is no shoulder pad. The strap buckle and zipper are metal and heavy... this is a good thing, they feel substantial.

I just got my bag today. It's good to know the wait was worth it. I love it! My computer fits perfectly (15 inch MacBook), it's not too big or bulgy, and it has many accessible compartments. Perfect for school. The only thing that could have been better is if the strap were to be a little less wide. But I already knew it was going to be like that when I bought it. Doesn't matter. More pro's than cons.

I really liked this bag and wanted it to work with my 17" laptop. The laptop would fit in the opening for other stuff, but not in the designated laptop opening. The 17" laptop stretched the width of the bag to the limit, and I didn't think I would be able to fit anything else in. My stepson wanted the bag, so it is now his. I SO wish it would have worked with my laptop!

As a grad student who spends entirely too much time on campus, I needed a bag to hold my life. This bag is almost perfect. I am able to fit my 15.6" laptop in the compartment and store my power cord etc plus one or two books. Sadly I need to fit more books but that can be fixed with a tote. Super strong material and not too manly for my female frame!

I got this bag for my 13.3" Macbook Pro. The laptop compartment is a little big for my computer, but works anyway. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that only one side of the laptop compartment was padded. The side towards the inside of the bag is padded, but it is just a layer of canvas between my laptop and the outside world. I recommend using a laptop sleeve when carrying your laptop in this bag. It will protect your computer from the books you put in main compartment, but not from any of the dangers outside the bag.
