These just arrived. The ochre color is slightly more mustard-y than the photo indicates, but still well within the range I was going for (bright yellow shoes to add a pop of color to any outfit). The vintage-y style is classic but not stuffy, shaped to work equally well with dresses and trousers. The color looks great with almost everything--navy, green, brown, purple, rust--it's like an un-timid neutral. I am not quite as enthusiastic about the feel of these things on my feet. Pros: the heel angle is comfortable, the heel shape is stable, and the upper doesn't cut into my foot or put pressure on my bunion. Cons: these are really heavy, for heels. Like, steel-toe work-boot heavy. In some heels, your feet go click-click; in these ones I have to make an effort not to clomp. The shank is solid and more rigid than I like--almost as inflexible as a wedge. It remains to be seen whether the comfort issues will win out over the shoes' undeniable cuteness and wardrobe utility. I really want to love these, but I'm not quite there yet.

I really fell in love with the look and style of this shoe. However, I would have to agree with the last reviewer. They are heavy for a shoe and are not very flexible which makes walking in them and now sounding like an elephant a challenge. I'm hoping they will break in easily and will be more comfortable. Thanks again Zappos!

Cute style and good angle of the shoe; however, there were three issues that caused me to send them back. First, the color is darker and more mustard than the picture. Second issue, is that these shoes are quite dense. They feel very heavy on the feet. Third issue, is that these shoes run at least a half size too big. I wear a 9 1/2. In fact some 9 1/2 shoes feel too tight on me. These shoes left a large gap behind my heel, that looked like I was a child playing in my mother's shoes. I checked the shoe and box to double check. It said 9 1/2. Oh well, on to the next pair!

I really like these shoes. They are perfect for the office and comfortable too. I love high, thick heels for everyday wear, and these fit the bill. They are a bit wider than I expected, and therefore, a bit loose. I might have ordered them narrower if I had known.

These are awful. They do not bend at all when you walk in them. It's like wearing shoes made out of wood. They must be defective because isn't the whole premise of a shoe that you can walk in them? I wore them to work before I figured out that they weren't going to break in, so I'm sending them back anyway.
