I was a little hesitant to make this purchase based on one lone review, but I did and I couldn't be happier. The salmon color is one I thought I'd never find -- everything else I've looked at seems to be "cheap neon," "pepto pink," or something a 10-year-old would want because to her it looks like something her beloved Hello Kitty would carry. The Fossil Maddox Flap has all the style, polish, and "pulled-togetherness" I've come to expect from the brand, while remaining fun and whimsical if that's the look you prefer for your bags. I've never been disappointed in a purchase from Fossil and that 100% record remains with the Maddox Flap bag.

Brands I'd also recommend: None, really. Fossil is my go-to brand no matter what exact type of product I'm looking for and they almost always come through with the perfect item.

I love this bag. It's roomy enough to fit all my stuff and it still looks great. The leather is very high quality and should hold up well over time.

Exactly what I was looking for- well, almost... I am extraordinarily picky about handbags (too many requirements to list). In this case I was definitely looking for a crossbody style since we recently moved from a suburban location to an urban one- meaning LOTS more walking. I like how this one lays fairly flat against me. It holds what I need (not all that much, really, but I use a check-book style wallet so the handbag has to accommodate that) without being a fat, bulky bag banging against my side. As with the other Fossil bags I've had over the years, the leather is nice, and I'm sure it will wear well. One minor complaint is the bag is somewhat weighty, even when it's empty. I also like the clean, classic look. I can't stand handbags with all sorts of doodads and excessive trim. I'm not one to constantly switch handbags, so I will be using this all the time, except for fancy nights out.

I have this in the green olive and I just love it. Great functionality, sturdy quality leather, and it just has a really nice styling and design. I am really loving Fossil's newer handbags this year.

This is a great bag. I love that it adds a pop of color to my dark coats or even my off white one. I also love the that you can sling it over your shoulder so you don't have to worry about it falling down. Perfect for getting about the city. And everything is easily accessible. It could be slightly lighter but I am not sure how they would do that.

This is a quality bag. The construction is so well done and will without doubt be gorgeous for many years to come. I purchased the red which I would describe as a tomato color (as opposed to a cherry red). The color is really nice and it doesn't scream red but gives you a more understated pop of color. The leather is soft and pliable but structured. (It is not soft like glove leather.) In my opinion it is worth every penny.

Beautiful purse with lots of space and compartments. Only negative was the strap was too long. So I took it to leather shop, shortened it to hip length. Now perfect!

I already have this bag in the green olive and now just purchased the blue grey which I also really love. I love this bag's functionality and look. It is of substantial weight but I still wouldn't call it heavy. If anything, it is the styling and the amount of leather that gives it its substantial weight. I've seen less attractive bags of inferior quality that are super and just annoyingly heavy. This bag is well worth its price...and even sweeter if you catch on sale.

I'm pretty brand-loyal when it comes to Fossil. So when I needed to replace an old cheap black crossbody purse, I knew where to look and I fell in love with this purse in 5 minutes flat. At first I balked at the price tag. Mind you, I did invest more in the Vintage Re-Issue N/S Tote this summer and it was worth every penny, but that was a much bigger bag. This price for a crossbody? I shopped around. I looked at Lucky Brand and The Sak. I went to the Fossil outlet. No dice, none of them topped the Maddox Flap. So I bit the bullet and ordered it with the credit of a return of some heels. Totally worth it! My favorite part is that the outer pocket is the perfect size for my eReader or a tall/slimmish paperback (all purses I own must fit at least one book). And the back pocket might well fit a spare for long commutes. Quality bag, stylish and functional, definitely worth the money, it will last you years if you treat it well.

This is as near to perfect as it gets. Can be crossbody or a shoulder bag. I put my iPad in the middle section, and my keys, cell phone, small wallet, lipstick etc fit just fine in the front or back section.

I usually buy Fossil bags. I liked the tapestry pattern, nice assortment of pockets and compartments, good quality construction as always. The decorative metal key which hangs from the handle is quite large on this model and clanks a bit.

Absolutely love this purpose. The color is great. Love the magnetic close feature...I never accidentally dump all of my stuff out. Great quality! I will say that I thought it was a little bigger when I ordered it but the size is fine...just mid-size, not large.

This purse wasn't as large as I thought it would be, one area is very tight with only two skinny, flat items in it. The purse scratches easily. On the plus side, the leather is soft and the purse looks nice, love the cross body strap.

The quality of this bag is great, soft leather (I ordered spruce), good stitching, sturdy hardware. I got it because I wanted a cross body bag to free up my hands for baby and diaper bag. It is also great for traveling. Getting through the airport with one less thing to carry is great! The size is perfect for my wallet, checkbook, and a small book or kindle without being bulky. Extra pockets are well thought out and good for keeping things neat. I have had this bag for about four months now and I love it!
