Cut wide. Does not hold the foot if your feet are not wide. Not very soft on the foot either.

I just bought these slippers. I absolutely love them. I needed slippers with an elevated heel, and preferably a a pair that would take the outdoors in the morning when I get the paper. These slippers are cool and sturdy enough to wear as regular clogs (as long as it is not raining). They get a big thumbs up.
Brands I'd also recommend: I like Daniel Green slippers, but with the climate here, they really aren't too practical. If I move to a warmer climate, I'm getting a pair of mules adorned with the fluffy trim (like Eva Gabor in Green Acres)
