I love these boots! I have very short, fat, and wide feet. So my selection for shoes is very limited. Finally found these after numerous returns of boots by Rockport. These Florsheim's are fantastic. Fit my wide foot perfectly. I finally figured out that it comes down to what sort of socks you plan on wearing with them. If you're a thin-sock man, then order a half-size smaller length than you normally would. If you're a thicker-sock man, then order your normal size. The leather feels fantastic and they fit like a glove about an hour after wearing them. You will not be disappointed.

This shoe feels like it will be extremely comfortable and glovelike... once it's broken in. Until then, be prepared to hobble around with blisters.

OK; they goofed and had a different size in the correct marked box.. But the shoes arrived in 24 hours to my door! Hard to believe, but true. Fast! But this shoe is waterproof leather, made very well and detailed well by Florsheim. It's a quality shoe inside and out and looks very good... a bit on the retro geeky style, but like a well-heeled gentleman would choose. You would be impressed with the over all look and feel, as I am. My return will take a few days and they marked me a VIP customer just to make nice! Zappos has great customer service and are fast to deliver every time I ordered.

Ordering this product, through Zappos was a very good experience for me. The Florsheim Trapper Shoe is a great quality shoe boot. Very good soft quality leather, great sole support as well. The price cannot be beat by any department store or Mall. I would recommend this shoe for any guy out there looking for a quality & comfortable shoe/boot. My order was delivered to me in about 3-5 days and was exactly as advertise. I will be ordering more shoes through Zappos in the future!

I have a pair of the Florsheim Trapper's in each color and think they are great. They have the dashing good looks of a dress shoe, but the ruggedness and weatherproof features normally found in hiking boots. Very comfortable for walking and have excellent traction on wet and slick surfaces. I wear these to the office daily, but wouldn't hesitate to take them on a trail too. A couple of nice features include metal eyelets for laces which are only seen from the underside and a unique heel design that makes the shoe fit snug at first, but quickly molds itself to your foot. This ensures a firm fit and eliminates the sloppiness sometimes found in chukka style boots. The sole is fairly soft rubber which results in a comfortable give and good traction. Obviously I'm a big fan and highly recommend these Trappers. As the saying goes, these are not your father's Florsheims. Buy and enjoy!

Nice looking shoe. I have gotten a number of compliments in them. The pictures are fairly accurate. The heel is high, I feel very tall in the shoes. I have worn them a couple weeks and they feel very good. Normally I wear an 11 or 11.5 (11.5 in Nikes fit me well), and the 11 in this shoe fits perfect.

Do not buy these boots. I had to send the first pair I got back because of defects. Second pair I received I have wore once and the stitching is coming apart. I never owned a pair of Florsheims before, heard good thing. After this experience I will never buy another pair from that company. I only gave them one star because there was no zero.

Overall, I have enjoyed these boots. They took a little getting used to because of the thicker soles, as I am not used to wearing boots while indoors or on concrete. But after a while they felt natural. The leather is actually pretty soft. I am still on the fence about the 'comfort insole' as it has a large bump right on the heel area. After a couple of weeks I didn't notice it much but at first it felt very odd. I still might switch out the insoles in favor of a gel-type, for example.

Delivered in 24 hours! Great price. 1/2 size short. Little wide too. The tongue is fabric. Color looks great in photo, but doesn't feel like a good boot. Returning, trying again.

Podiatrist advised me to begin wearing high top shoes for ankle support. Ordered these Trappers from Zappos and have been absolutely delighted with them. Break in period was non-existent. They are extremely light and comfortable and give me the support I was looking for. They look great too. I'm prepared to purchase a pair of these shoes in black when they are in stock.

Pros: Roomy enough for my orthotics. Cons: Unfortunately a bit painful during breakin due to an exposed stiff fabric heal cup inside the boot. Most shoes have their heal cup embedded inside the lining - not these and the edge of this heal cup cuts into feet. Also top eyelet is too close to top and it pops up over top of the tongue against your shin.
