Florsheim Haviland Limited is a solid choice for the commuting man. Thick rubber sole and a durable, pebble grained, leather upper will get you through the weather in style this winter. I personally think the Haviland would be more attractive with the pebbled leather used only as an accent, but thankfully the texture is muted on the lower part of the wingtip. I did find that the Haviland ran longer and narrower than my other Florsheim shoes; so I dropped down a half size and went wide (I probably could have gotten away with a full size lower with the wide size). After wearing them for a few weeks the Haviland has turned into my bad weather go-to-shoe for getting into the office, which is something everyone will need in the months to come.

Like but don't love -- I'm very happy with the look of this shoe, and the quality of the materials seems high. It feels a little big, however -- maybe should have exchanged for one a half-size down. It's also surprisingly heavy and stiff for a rubber-soled shoe.

This review is for the Haviland Limited in the brown "Crazy Horse" leather. This shoe fits much larger than tagged. I am an 11/10.5 in dress shoes and I did not find a comfortable fit until I went down to a 9.5D in these. I like my shoes snug so you may be able to get by going down 1/2 size. The heel cup is very shallow and until the leather molded to my feet a bit I felt like I was walking out of the shoes with every step. After a few hours of wear, however, they settled in. The materials are very nice for the price. The leather is reasonably supple and has a rugged character. The Dainite sole is Goodyear welted. The laces are kind of meh but they are easily replaced. Stylistically this is a classic longwing with a nice profile and a well-shaped toe. I can't see you finding a better shoe for the price. -1 star for the sizing issues and heel cup depth, otherwise, great shoe.

This is a comfortable shoe. It is a heavy shoe since the heal and sole is thick, and I believe is made from rubber. The shoe is a quality product and will take a little time to break in. I am retired therefore I only use this shoe for Sunday church and other dress occasions.
