I work in an office and wanted to get new dress shoes. I usually go to the dept store and buy something cheap, but now I wanted to buy something better. I think Florsheim is a good step up from the normal dept store shoes. They look nice, they fit comfortable, and the all leather lets my feet breath better. I recommend it.

Received this shoe with high expectations; after 10 hours of wear I'm returning it. Clunky Chinese construction that causes blisters on parts of my foot/ankle I've never had blisters (even during Army Bootcamp) and full rubber sole that is extraordinarily resistant to flexing. The insole is comfortable, but that's the only plus.

The sizing on these shoes is waaaay off. I originally bought a size 9.5 because that's what I always wear. They were way too big and I exchanged them for a size 9. Those are still too big and when placed next to other shoes of mine that are size 9.5, the ostensibly smaller shoes are considerably longer than the 9.5s. I'm now exchanging for an 8.5 and hope that does the trick because in terms of style and comfort, they seemed great.

When I purchased a pair about four weeks ago and when I took them out of the box and put my feet in them I felt totally relaxed and comfortable. No stiffness, no break in required. My only difficulty was that I drove 600 miles in two days in them and after about a couple of hours of driving the shoe backs caused my heels to become very sore. I never had that problem with a Florsheim shoe before. I only buy Florsheims. I have had several pairs of Richfields (lace), 2 pr of Masons, and most recently a pr each of Thacker and Curtis. Every day short trips to work and shopping are no problem in the Curtis. For general wear, they feel like 5 year old shoes worn every day. I am slowly, with bordeau polish, trying change the color to burgundy-ish because I am not a fan of Brown. Because the Curtis brown is so light it will take a few polishings. But, in any case, they are a very handsome shoe. I am well satisfied.
I'd also recommend: On three trips I forgot at home and had to purchase a pr each of John Henrys, Nunn Bush, and Scholls. The latter two are recommended. The first was difficult to break in and caused discomfort for a while. Normally I buy only Florsheims.

I've had this very pair for 3 years now and have worn them daily to work and out in evenings. Really comfortable and very well-made! I've finally worn through the sole and I'm debating whether to get them resoled or buy another pair. Mine are a slightly lighter color than shown and look good with jeans or more dressed up, The square front toe just looks cool.

These shoes were perfect for my son who is 20 and has a small foot. We had tried a couple of other styles, and I cannot imagine any other company who could be this easy to work with. Zappos staff took care of everything so quickly and easily. Way to go Zappos. I'm a huge fan!
