I have a high instep. This gives me a problem finding a shoe that is comfortable. I was hesitant to try this shoe, but I liked the look and color of the shoes and the fact that they came in a 3E width. To my surprise, they were very comfortable, probably the most comfortable shoe I have purchased.
Brands I'd also recommend: I also like the Florsheim Richfield.

I got the size 6, but it is the same size as my size 7 Dockers shoe. The size 6 definitely runs large, this may also be due to the style, with a longer toe. The width is average. They look very nice.

These are my second Florsheim shoes, I like them very much. I am more comfortable with traditional shape of the shoe fronts. Someone said that they seem to be too big for me; they are fine in size (6 1/2). My first ones (traditional shape of the front part), were 7. Florsheim really makes good and comfortable shoes. The model makes them look a little bit long, but they fit my feet 100% well. Beautiful, solid, comfortable. The shoes speak for themselves. By the way, this is not to help advertisement, this is reality! And thanks to Zappos, for their nice employees. I am so delicate in buying shoes! But they do their best to help. Thanks.
Brands I'd also recommend: Bostonian (some), Murphy (but doest not have my size: 6 1/2)

Great shoe! I wanted a nice looking loafer to wear with jeans/khakis and this fits the bill. Like the fact that it has a rubber sole, but is not bulky (nor too thin as some rubber loafer soles are). The leather is nice, too. All in all, a very nice shoe for the price.

I think it is a very nice shoe. My feet are very wide and the shoe is a little long but snug in the front and loose in the back. I have yet to actually wear them so I don\'t yet know how comfortable they are until I walk in them for a while.

What they see is a company with a commitment to craftsmanship and fashion-forward thinking. They see a world-class brand name that consumers continue to rely on for quality, style, comfort and value. They see classic styles as relevant today as when they first introduced them. They see new looks, and more importantly, new technologies and manufacturing processes that prove style needn't be stifling. They see opportunity and, yes they change.
But they are confident that the challenges they face will make them stronger. They are determined more than ever, to live up to the standards and heritage of the Florsheim brand. 116 years is a long time to be on your feet. They are proud to say that Florsheim has not only withstood the test of time, but they remain decidedly instep with the times. So here's to a successful anniversary year for everyone...and to 116 more years of giving nothing less than 116%.
Florshiem has also successfully extended its product line to men's belts. You may now match your favorite Florsheim shoes with a Florsheim belt. Crafted from the finest leathers, these belts offer the same quality construction and style you have come to expect from Florsheim.
As our world changes, Florsheim has also focused on adding contemporary and casual men's shoes to their traditional line. They envision that future generations will look to Florsheim for dress, business casual and weekend casual shoes. One thing is for sure, there is more to come.

Not built to last. These shoes don't have what it takes to last. I've had them 4 months and they are already shot. Cheap leather over fabric leads to cracking and creases in the leather, although shoe shine does make them appear more presentable. Cheap sole and extraordinarily soft rubber heel wore through in less than three months. If you're looking for a loafer, buy something of better quality for less money; if you're looking for an ordinary dress shoe, buy something that will last more than a few months for only a little more.
Brands I'd also recommend: Spend the extra money for real shoes

I have been frustrated with the diminishing selection of 3E and 4E shoes on Zappos, and was particularly disappointed with the fit of these shoes. Although the shoes I ordered were supposedly size 7.5 EEE, they fit as if they were 8.5 EE, with nearly an inch of overhang past my toes. This may have been a function of the more pointy-toed style, but the fit was the same as another pair of Florsheim shoes I tried on in the same size. Call me square, but I'd rather not feel as if I were tripping over my toes. Please, Zappos, offer a pair of decent-looking square-toed or normal-toed 4E shoes!

Love the way they look, but still breaking them in and don't seem to be getting any more comfortable... If your commute requires a lot of walking/standing (i.e. trains and subway), I would try another shoe.

I usually love Florsheim shoes, but these things are tearing my feet apart. I've worn them twice and the backs of my ankles are being torn to shreds. I would stay away from this particular shoe.

I usually really like Florsheim shoes. However, these are just really uncomfortable. The backs of the shoes are ripping the backs of my ankles to shreds and make it very difficult to walk. While I would still recommend Florsheim, I would highly advise going with a different shoe.
