5-10 makes an amazing climbing shoe! The Stealth soles on these shoes will grip absolutely anything! I've used them mainly on a climbing wall, but they've been incredible outdoors as well. Because they have partially-lined leather uppers, they really haven't stretched much. I normally wear a women's 6.5, and after trying three different sizes, I wound up with a 7.5 in these shoes. My toes are not curled under in the 7.5. For "hard-core" climbers who want their toes curled under, go ahead and get the exact same size as your street shoes, or maybe just a half size up. Thank you Zappos for the amazing service and shockingly-fast shipping!

Gotta love these shoes. They are well-built and perform exactly the way you want them to. Pretty fresh-looking for a climbing shoe I wear a size 11, so I ordered a size 11 and they fit perfectly after about 6 or 7 trips to the gym. And always, Zappos came through with their dope customer service.

An incredible rubber moccasin with grip - The Coyote Lace Up is my second pair of Five Ten shoes from Zappos. My first pair was the Spire which is very similar to the Coyote - in fact the only remarkable difference is the half lining in the Coyote vs. no lining in the Spire. Both have the same fit, grip and comfort. I were these because they're minimal shoe with EXCELLENT GRIP (they put the tacky in "tacky grip.") I wear these on the street simply because I need to feel the ground when I walk and I call them my "rubber moccasins!" They fetch a lot of comments and they're all complimentary. I usually wear 8.5 men’s and in Five Tens an 11 - 11.5 men’s fits perfectly.

Wow awesome shoe - This shore fit so well, I bought 3 more pair just to make sure I had enough too last. Fit was perfect, rubber is sticky as syrup, and price is right. I will never like another shoe this much.

About Five Ten
A family owned company, 5.10 (also known as Five Ten) has stood at the forefront of fine craftsmanship, high-performance and fashion forward technical designs within the outdoor industry since 1985. Born with a rich rock climbing heritage, 5.10 is known worldwide for the high-quality, fit and friction of their shoes, where footwear can make the difference between success and failure. Today, they continue to bring their climbing heritage to all of their products, as well as exciting innovation, quality craftsmanship and unmatched durability. Climbers, kayakers, mountain bikers, hikers, trail runners, canyoneers, and everyone else who wants technical/fashionable outdoor footwear depend on 5.10 for safety, state-of-the-art innovation, and out-of-the-box comfort.
As a huge climbing enthusiast, Charles Cole, founder and President of 5.10, knows that a good grip on a well-made shoe means everything. Determined to create a better rubber to make climbing easier, Charles developed Stealth© rubber soles, which increase the amount of body weight the rubber could bear before its bond broke away from the rock. By merely purchasing a new shoe, climbers could better climb with a sure-footed grip. Pushing the envelope even further, Cole continues to expand 5.10 soles even further with Stealth© S1, Stealth© C4, Stealth© HF (high friction), Stealth© Amphibia (water compatible), and Stealth© ONYXX, which provides 25% more friction and is twice as durable as any other climbing rubber available.
Stealth© rubber was just the tip of the iceberg for Cole and 5.10. Responsible for today's modern rock shoe design, Cole invented a plethora of firsts which include: the first sling shot rand, the first down-turned last, the first heel wedge to cushion impact, adding pull tabs on both climbing and approach shoes, baseball stitching to alleviate hot spots, graded midsoles to adjust the shoe's flexibility to different weights, the first self-draining water shoe and the first ankle to toe lacing on an approach shoe to allow for a performance custom fit. Throughout the years, there have been various 5.10 innovations, and in the years yet to come, their dedication will lead to many more.
As the shoe-of-choice for the world's top climbers, 5.10 is 100% committed to innovation and performance. All of their unique footwear designs have been produced with one goal in mind: to do what is best for outdoor sports athletes who use 5.10 shoes. From hiking to paddling to mountain biking, recreational and expert athletes alike know that Five Ten means more than footwear- Five Ten shoes are essential equipment for adventure. Rest assured that 5.10 is working hard on next season's models and that they will be bringing something wild, new and exciting into the world of adventure sports.
Five Ten Where unique comfort, durability and technological advances combine to create the best footwear in the world.

Great beginner shoe, lots of comfort - I measure out a 9.5 and got these a half size smaller (9), they stretch easily that much. They are a lined leather, and this is the recommendation from manufacture. I have had a few of these and for a beginner shoe, there isn't one better, rubber is very sticky...some other companies have junk rubber in this price range. They were tight to start with and hurt to walk in, about 3 trips to the gym and they were skin tight slippers, fit like a glove.

My most durable shoe - I've been using the Coyote Lace up for the past 2 years in all climbing situations. This shoe is the most durable, comfortable, all-around climbing shoe I've used. This is my trusty stand-by shoe when I want to be comfortable.

A real wolf (or coyote) in sheep's clothing. The Five Ten Coyote was my first climbing shoe, and still remains in my shoe quiver to this day. Since then I've blown through a pair of Acopas and two pair of La Sportiva, but the Coyotes are still going strong. The laces go all the way to the toe, which allows you to get a very precise fit. The soft sole is great for smearing, and the flat knuckle box allows you to fit your toes into cracks and pockets with no problem. While it's by no means an aggressive or technical shoe, there is no reason that these shoes can't be used to climb 5.11. Beginners - your ability won't outgrow these shoes before you wear through them. I'd recommend these shoes for all-day trad climbs, and moderate sport climbs where comfort is more important than edging or precision. While you can certainly use them bouldering, I wouldn't recommend them for that use. Note: This shoe will stain your feet all sorts of red, and depending on how you size, they may stretch anywhere from a half-size to a full size. I'd recommend sizing a half to a full size down from your street shoe, even if you're looking for comfort.

Go a size bigger people. These are great climbing shoes for beginners but if you wear fifteens then you should probably find another shoe. These coyotes felt smaller for a size 15 and they were the biggest I could order. My feet were taking some punishment but eventually, they stretch. Good shoe with a cool look.

Good Shoe, High Price. This is a very comfortable shoe and useful for the novice to semi-serious climber. It’s not very helpful on very challenging climbs, but I love wearing them for bouldering and long (easier) climbs.

Okay shoe! I only had this shoe for a little while because I did not like it. I bought it mainly because of the price. It's an okay shoe for a beginner; it wasn't aggressive enough for me. I felt that it was wearing out after only a few climbs. I will admit that it is very comfortable. If you are an all day climber maybe this one would be good for you.
