This is my second pair of rock climbing shoes. My first pair are Evolv Bandits which are also great. I bought these to experiment with different types of shoes and an upgrade. I bought these shoes in 9's (my Evolv's are 9's also). I, not knowing how other FiveTen shoes fit, based my guess on trying on a different shoe that had the same downturned design. When they came in I was worried that my feet wouldn't even get in, but they did with a little bit of effort. My toes are curled, and the heel is like a glove. The padding on the tongue is nice too. Plus they look oh so cool. I brought these to the gym to try them out, and immediately felt the difference of the rubber. It's super sticky. Then during a warm-up traverse I noticed how precise you can be with the toe. I could stand on some of the tinier footchips with ease. After a couple climbs I have to take them off because my feet are in pain. I notice that if you keep this shoe on longer, they mold to your feet due to your feet sweating. If you take them off for some drying time, they're back to being super tight again.
