A couple of weeks in, I am still not in love with this boot. I bought the black leather. I think the quality of the boot is good, but there are some weird issues with the fit that I wouldn't have anticipated. The pros, which were evident right away: 1) It's cute and I can comfortably wear it all day. 2) I'm fairly tall and it comes right up to my knee. 3) The calf fits my chubby leg nicely, which is really hard to find in a leather boot. The cons, which only became clear with a couple of weeks' wear: 1) There's a crease all the way up the front of each boot from the way they were folded in the box. I thought it would come out with some wear, but it's still there and gives them a weird look. 2) Although the calf fits well, the ankles are too big, and the more I wear the boot, the more it wrinkles around the front and sides of the ankle. 3) The stretchy panel in the back of the boot has turned sort of saggy as the boots wear in, resulting in additional weird wrinkling along the back of the calf and ankle. I really liked the smoothness of the way the boot looked initially and in photos, so it's disappointing that it's turned out to be slouchy and weirdly creased. Maybe these problems would be less obvious in the suede? I'm not sure. But I do wish I were still able to return these; they're not the fitted, sleek boots I was imagining at all. The foot part of the boot is a little clunky, and I was really counting on the fitted smooth leg to offset that clunkiness. I wear them with pants, but I think I'll avoid wearing them with dresses or skirts, since they give me cankles I don't actually have.

I have chubby calves and am a happy girl. It took some cajoling but I actually got these to zip up. Then I do that thing where I zone out staring at my new shoes. They totally awesome and pretty comfortable. I was looking for a higher wedge heel but I'm really happy with these. After three wearings they've stretched out a little bit, so that it's not such an ordeal to zip 'em. I imagine in another week it'll be no problem. I'm usually a size 6.5 to 7 and I ordered a size 6.5 and they fit just right.

These are great boots. Definitely order them at least half a size smaller. I usually wear between a 7.5 and an 8. I ordered them in a 7 and they fit great. If you have larger calves, these are great boots. The one flaw I see with them is the "shiny" part on the back of the calf is not leather but that stretchy pleather stuff, which always wears out quickly. Overall, a great pair of boots!

These are totally boot-tastic. I've tried to squeeze myself into way too many boots that don't accommodate my 17" calves. These are great! I couldn't decide which material/color I wanted, so I ordered all four, in various sizes. I ended up deciding on the black leather - the edgiest looking, I think. I normally wear between a 7.5 and 8. I have the 7.5 which fit fine, but could probably fit into the 7s as well. The suede looked fine but suede just isn't my style. The brown smooth leather is distressed in a way that looks kind of cool from far away, but is cheap-looking up close.

I've been searching for a pair of leather boots for years that fit my wide calf, and finally I've found them. These are quite comfortable, and very cute (although a little clunky looking). They seemed to be sized really large - I\'m usually a 6.5 and ended up needing to order a 5!

TOTALLY worth every single penny!! I first heard about these boots about 8 months ago when I was researching wide calf boots...I looked at them, and looked at them, and did some other comparisons, and finally, last week, I decided to go for it. I have to say, if you EVER buy any pair of boots, you need to buy these! I bought the brown suede, and as soon as I get a bit more money, I'm going to buy a black pair as well. These boots really are incredible...I'm 5'9" and they come almost up to my knee...the color on the brown suede is actually a little lighter than in the picture, but they are just gorgeous! I am SO glad that I bought these!! I truly couldn't be happier. =o)

I love the length - I not only wear a size 13, I am also 6'5" so with extra long legs, I love the length of these boots!! These don't cut my leg in an unflattering area. The comfort was immediate there was no need to break these lovely boots in. I love the look with the white top stitching, it gives these boots a look all their own. Even though I needed the extra calf room, the only thing about the fit that was off was between the ankle and the calf the boot is a little bit baggy but not so much that it spoils the fabulous look of these suede boots, I am a single mom and spending this much on a pair of boots is definitely not something I take lightly, I feel these are a great investment and I will get a lot of wear out of them and when I am looking to buy another pair or boots I will definitely be getting some Fitzwell's.

This boot fit my calf really well. Unfortunately, I had to return it, because the brown leather really is that bad. Thin and cheap-looking, it in no way resembled the photograph. Don't be like me--heed the warnings!

Better than black RSVP Emmily - I ordered the Black Suede RSVP Emmily and Fitzwell Frantic Wide calf boots. Yes, they are the exact same boot (clearly made on the same factory line, the frantic just has extra decorative stitches). The Emmily looks like a tall black sock to me. Kinda gross. The frantic was boot looking; it has a tan stitch around the bottom, separating your eye line from the sole so it doesn't look like a sock. There are also decorative jean style white lines, which are not as bright as in the online photos. These white lines look natural and great from a distance. I would have kept the Frantic but this boot runs slightly large in the foot bed. I am a wide 8.5 or regular 9 with an 18" calf. The 8.5 fits perfectly...unfortunately they were sold out of 8.5 in Frantic. Additionally, I own the identical boot in tan with the bows (listed under RSVP, forget the style name) and I wear them every day and constant compliments. I think the bow on the ankle is a good idea because the ankle room on all these is very roomy so the boot slouches. I have very fat calves and, yes, there is still slouch. With the ankle bow ties, the slouch makes sense. Without decoration on this boot, the only notable thing is slouching around the ankles, so think about that when you buy them.

Did the trick - The boot fit my chubby calf (~ 18") with a little coaxing. There is some flexibility at the top. I’m short, so this boot worked well coming up a little below my knee. The only thing I don't like is the white stitching. I tried a similar style with the 'RSVP-Emmily', but the calf wasn't wide enough.

Love this boot! This is a very comfortable, stylish boot and I love it! Definitely order a size smaller than what you are - they run huge.

I just received these boots overnight - even though I chose the free 4-5 day shipping. The boots are cute and comfy, and easy to put on and take off. However, I was hoping they would have the shearling lining all the way through, like Uggs do - but they don’t. I didn’t find them to be as warm and cozy as I would have liked, so I have decided to return them and go with some Uggs instead. Also, they felt a little loose with regular cotton socks on - slipped on my heel a bit. I am a solid 6 1/2, but they felt more like a 7. The good news is that customer service was super helpful, and they arranged an exchange to be shipped next business day!

Worth every penny - I have very muscular calves and most boots with a wide calf are a) not wide enough, b) too wide, c) have way too much room in the ankle which makes me look like I have cankles. Not these boots, they are perfect in every way. Look great, keep me warm and comfortable (two pairs of socks is necessary). Great buy, and worth every penny.

Great for A Larger Calf! I love them.... I love my boots! I have a 17 1/2 inch calf, they fit perfect. Not too tight. I am not sure if I could put jeans inside them, but that is not a look I would do. I usually wear size 11 1/2 to 12 in closed toe shoes and the size 11 is roomy on me, so they do run large. They are very comfortable right out of the box and I got lots of compliments. I have worn them with black skirts and tights and my friend told me it is a very slimming look (Yay!) They are dressier than they look on the website. The suede is not the thickest I have ever seen, but it is very comfortable to wear. I can't make any comments about durability as yet.

Order a half size smaller at least. Wonderful boot. I have trouble finding boots because I have big calves. I know really want the brown ones to round out my wardrobe. Would suggest a half size smaller. Can’t wait to wear them!

Great Boots - These boots are so cute. They are really comfy too, but because they are a little big, the support not so great. Maybe I will try a pair of insoles. Plenty of room in the calf to wear even with wider cut jeans. Overall, I really love them.

Finally, a boot that fits my calves... I love these boots but, recommend you order a 1/2 size smaller. I ordered my usual 7.5, but they feel about a 1/2 size larger, tho' I'm not complaining. They are very comfortable and have been keeping me warm these past few freezing weeks. Very cute and look great with jeans. VERY FAST SHIPPING. I'll be back!

They fit my calves!!! My calves are big. I would say around 19 inches. I could get these boots zipped up all of the way. It was snug around the top but I didn't mind because I have a hard time finding tall boots. The boots are wide in the foot. I didn't mind because I put a cushioned insole inside and it helped. I gave the boot a 4 star rating because there is absolutely no arch support and I needed that. Otherwise, it is a great boot.

My 19 year old daughter hasn't had a pair of boots that went above her ankle since she was 10 years old! If they came in her size (11 to 11 1/2) they wouldn't fit around her calf! We have been disappointed with online orders before - the 11 that is really a 10, or so narrow that you can't get your foot all the way in - not this time! Thanks, Zappos!!!

The good...tall boot, bad...poor quality leather and way BIG - Okay, I was so happy to order a boot that would fit around my calf. And boy do they! These boots are VERY WIDE in the calf and the foot part is VERY LARGE as well. I am a tried and true size 9. These boots are a HUGE size 9. I was tempted to return them and get an 8.5 but wasn't sure if the calf would still be big enough to tuck my jeans into. Jeans tucked into these is the only way to wear them. These boots are TOO BIG to wear bare legged with skirts which is what I wanted to do. The leather in brown is very poor quality. But the comfort is top notch. I could wear them all day and not even notice any discomfort. These have a nice CASUAL look to them. Not dressy at all. All in all -I decided to keep them, but I will probably always wonder if I should have sent them back. Maybe I should have gotten the black suede? Also the price is decent. Have you noticed how expensive boots can be???!!!
