As time goes by, I'm increasingly disappointed by this shoe. It is so pretty - the color is really lovely; but I have to walk uber-carefully in them because 1) they have no traction and cause you to slip around on tile or linoleum floors, and 2) the part where the sides touch your feet is rough and scratchy - I remember thinking 'razor blade-like' on the first day of wearing them (without socks), and 3) after a few wearings they have stretched out and feel baggy. And I ordered the smallest size possible! My coping mechanism, since it's too late to return them: have to wear socks or tights with them, and will have to buy some kind of insert to make them fit properly.

Having very wide feet - 7 1/2 I find most shoes even wide sizes very uncomfortable. But Astro brand fits like a glove - it conforms to my feet and doesn't make my toes feel pinched in heels. I love these shoes!
Brands I'd also recommend: Clarks, Astro, Naturalizer

This is a rather comfy shoe, though I had a bit of a pinch in the toe box area. I also noticed that most patent leathers, including these, tend to squeak a bit when walking. These are no exception. Finally, these are designed as more of a comfort shoe and aren't exactly sexy but look great under pants or with jeans. Would have liked additional arch support as there is none built into the shoe (this is the same with ever pair of Fitzwell; if you need arch support you have to buy inserts).

These didn't fit right -- too tight in the width but slipped on the heel. They're a bit matronly looking. The Fitzwell captain pump is much cuter and fits better.

I like the fact you can get half sizes and wider width shoes. My only complaint is that the shoes lacked support at the balls of the feet.
Brands I'd also recommend: None that I can think of at the moment.
