Due to another female reviewer's comments, I decided to try this shoe. I have a wide foot and a woman's B width oftentimes is just not wide enough. These shoes will be perfect for my upcoming trip to Germany and Austria. The toe box is roomy and while they are a classic Oxford look, just as with running shoes, they look appropriate for either men or women. Very European looking (of course! They were made in Germany). I am very happy to have found this shoe. For other women who many stumble upon this review, I wear a women's 8-8 1/2, and the men's US size 7 fit perfectly. I also bought the Finn Comfort (women's) sandal, Soft Gomera, and that is also very comfortable and wide enough for my foot. As another has said, the insole on the Dijon is not cushiony, but the arch support is excellent. These shoes feel like they were made for my feet.

Great for women, too... I have very wide feet and the beginning of bunions, so I can't make do with cheap, one-size-fits-all shoes anymore. I also get plantar fasciitis pain if I wear shoes without arch support. Most of the shoes that will work for me are really UGLY. Often, they're designed for men, and look it. But these shoes are actually nice looking-- much more so than the picture gives them credit for-- to the point that both my older daughters (age 24 and 18) spontaneously said they would wear these! That rarely ever happens! My feet are happy and so am I. One downside is the price. Finn Comfort Shoes are so expensive, but the quality is amazing. If you can find them on sale in your size, grab them. They last forever and can be resoled, so divide the price by the number of years you will be wearing them and it becomes more acceptable. Also: finding the correct size when I'm American and some are marked with Euro sizing and others with UK sizing... that's a bit tricky. What I did was to buy my first pair at the local orthopedic shoe place and they sized me properly. Now I scour the internet for the best price in my size.

Excellent value for price - This is one of those shoes that just feel "right" from the first time out of the box. And they just get better with regular use. They are extremely comfortable and encourage the daily walks I need by their comfort and fit. A great shoe for anyone who needs regular exercise and only get better they age; top quality materials and workmanship!

I just reviewed his shoe a few days ago; after walking in it some more, I've decided it's not as comfortable as the Mephisto Match. The insole is not cushioned and it squeaks when I walk. Try out the Mephisto first. I will be returning the Dijon.

These are well made leather shoes. The cork insole has a large, built-in arch support. Unless you have high arches, this bump may cause some temporary discomfort until foot adapts. The toe box is roomy and good for those needing to re-position mid foot. One note of caution, the mid sole of these shoes is not designed to be firm/stiff. Therefore, if you have turf toe/large toe issues, these are not for you. The design of the shoe is to be highly flexible across the mid foot to roll off the toe, a good natural motion for a healthy foot.

Shoes is very stylish and made of excellent leather upper material. However the insole is made of a cork material that has a high arch that is very hard. This hurts my arch. Finn Comfort should replace the insoles with a more comfortable one and this would be an awesome shoe.
