This review is for the black/bone Fidji G825. I wear a 7.5 typically and bought a 38. Fit feels true to size. I have a high arch and a slightly wide foot (some shoes average but definitely not narrow) - the fit is good for me/my foot. I have many pairs of Fidji shoes. First, I love Fidji shoes. I walk and am active and I need practical and professional shoes that don't look ugly or pain my feet. I can walk all day in these, up/down stairs, city streets, etc. No blisters or break-in time. You ought to be able to wear these straight out of the box and if not, then these shoes might not be for you. One thing I notice is that other reviewer comments (in general) with respect to the 'distressed' appearance of some of Fidji's shoes. This is true of this pair as well - the black is NOT black patent - it is a softer black. I would not call that distressed, but it isn't sharp/shiny black, much more muted. I actually prefer and like that, but obviously this is a matter of taste and the outfit you are trying to match to the shoes. To me, these are as described, black/bone, definitely not black/white tuxedo shoes.

This is a great looking shoe for work in the summer. The toe box is nice and roomy. It runs a bit large. I am always a 37 (6.5) in Fidji, and these had to be adjusted with a cushion around the back of the heel to prevent my foot from lifting out when I walk.

I just received this black/bone pair in the mail and am thrilled. The bone color is more muted than pictured, as well as a bit gray - makes it less "classic" in color, but lends itself to dressing up a blue toned outfit as well as a black or brown. Not coincidentally, the black is more muted too, and appears inky navy from a distance, so again, while this shoe is not a classic "spectator" in terms of color/contrast, it's going to be perhaps a bit more versatile. These are a classic style that will be a knockout with a spiffy blazer and skirt or trousers. I am a Fidji aficionado (this will be my 7th or 8th pair) so I'm well apprised of the manufacturer's devotion to fit, quality and style - this pair does not disappoint. It is beautifully constructed. My only complaint is that the pair I received was marred with some dark markings on the bone color and some strafing marks on the black - perhaps they were worn, not sure. However, I feel the overall quality and style outweigh the blemishes - I routinely clean each pair of shoes I wear with neutral Meltonian creme polish, and these will get an application before I wear them to buff out the marks (hope it works!).
