The shoes look awesome! They are also quite comfortable. Unfortunately, they do run just a tad bit small so ordering half a size up is recommended.

I'm a longboarder who tends to fall a lot. I need shoes that are comfortable and durable, and I go through them probably faster than the average skater. These shoes are perfect - super comfy, and for the past few months they've held up very well. Also I just love their look, and how the walls of the shoes are thick enough to provide support. NOTE: I'm a little over a 10.5 shoe size (US) and I had to get an 11.

These are not true to size. I ordered them in size 14. I'm usually a 13w or 14, and these are both too narrow and too short for my feet. It's unfortunate. I really like the look of them.

Very nice shoe. Well stitched and comfortable. Could have longer laces though.

This is my 4th pair of this shoe, and it has been my favorite shoe to skate. They are ready to skate right out of the box with great flexibility and board feel. Overall awesome shoe if you are looking to try something new to skate in or just walk around town!

Great shoe! Goes well with everything. I would say they are probably somewhere in the middle of longevity. Not quite expecting these to last a few years based on how they are aging so far. But they're definitely not as bad as an ALDO shoe which would fall apart after the first week. Still, great for the money and lots of compliments!

Honestly, I just got these shoes in the mail yesterday and let me tell you that they aren't worth the dollars. I skateboard on a regular basis and I go ham on my shoes which is why the side of the shoe already has a hole. I'm just lucky enough to not of bought these here, I bought them at 6pm.com for less. So, if you want to get these still, go there.

The style is a real stand-out. The comfort is excellent. I bought my true size (10) but had to return them for a 10 1/2 and they now fit great. If there was any negative to this shoe, and it's a very minor one, it's that in the heat of summer it is warm on your feet. I normally wear golf socks with them. For the rest of the seasons it's perfect. I would recommend these for all the reasons you might want in a casual canvas shoe. The size being a little off and the warmth is the only reason I gave it a 4. It should really be a 4 and 1/2!

I would not buy these again. The shoes are about 1 1/2 months old and did not withstand everyday wear after 1 month of wear.

This is my first skate shoe I bought and I am a beginner skater and I think the shoes are pretty good. Zappos does sell the Fallen Griffins the cheapest price though. The side of the shoe is getting pretty wrecked from me doing ollies. I would like the shoe to have some more padding.

I was very happy with how friendly and helpful the customer service rep was. She made ordering very easy for me. I was also pleased with the condition of the shoes. I was worried that I might have to send them back because of other places I've ordered from in the past sent me damaged items. Everything was excellent.

They are comfortable shoes, fit me well (ordered 8.5 Ladies equivalent), but the materials are cheap and these shoes wore out in just a couple of months. I ordered the black on black (which doesn't seem to be available anymore) and the black canvas faded, the rubber soles cracked and started to separate from the shoe, and different threads came loose. The black paint on the eyelets also chipped off. I was not doing anything crazy with these, just wearing them to my office job. The Fallen Daze shoes were quite comfortable, but for shoes that wear out this quickly, they are very overpriced.

I just ordered a pair of these in black after wearing a grey pair for about 5 months. They do take a little breaking in to be completely comfortable, but after that, they fit like a foot glove. My only beef with my first pair is, after about 3.5 months, the rubber around the inside curve of my foot started to warp and crack. Both feet now have a tiny chunk of rubber that I had to pull off. Otherwise, though, they have become very comfortable. As other reviewers have said, the sole has warn down a little, but after wearing them at least two days a week at a highly active inventory job, I'm not surprised. All I can say is, I liked them enough to order another pair. (Though I am having to break that pair in again. It's a few days worth of wear to get past the curve.)

Although these shoes look nice and my 15 year old son loved them upon arrival after only 3 weeks of use the front has completely worn off and my son's toes are now visible. I understand that he uses them to skate but I have been buying him skate shoes for six years and this is the first pair that has torn apart in only a matter of weeks. If you are selling shoes as skate shoes they should be able to withstand the normal abuse that accompanies the sport. So if you are looking for a nice looking shoe to just wear than these are perfect. However, if you want a skate shoe that can actually be worn for skating you need to look at a different pair.

Hey Fallen fans...the description on Black/White III is inadequate, the fabric is a synthetic modified heavy microfiber with the feel of velvet. This causes the shoe to have no give at all, we are a solid 9 in Fallen, the Black/White III fits like an 8 or smaller. Order up a full size! Great looking shoe, adorably small, too bad we had to return. Prefer canvas or suede versions, we wear only Fallen! Zappos rocks, always!

I am 14, I think these are great shoes for skateboarding and walking around in. I like the way they look, the grey color is nice and the blue laces are a nice touch. The suede material is nicer than the canvas you usually see.

This was my first experience with Zappos. I ordered shoes for both of my Grandsons for Christmas. They arrived in a matter of days, one pair had to be returned and the pair I ordered to replace the wrong sized ones arrived in 2 days. I will definitely order from Zappos again and again. Returning was very easy too!

They are good shoes and pretty comfortable but they're not as cushioned as I would like. Also, the toe is slightly too tapered so there is not as much toe room as I expected. Would also prefer less logos on the shoes.

They are really comfortable and I haven't even had them long enough to break them in, and this is my 3rd pair of the slash. I had one size 3, size 5 and size 8. My color way is the black with gum sole and a little red.

Do not buy this shoe. Bought on August 13, returning August 30. They totally fell apart, and he skated in them about 6 times . The rubber sole came off, and after he had them 5 days, the canvas got a hole. If there was a "0" star rating, that is where I would rate it. They were comfortable, for the 3 weeks they were wearable.

The Fallen Slash's I had were an ok shoe. They're not so great if you kickflip all the time, though. On the first day I skated them, the ollie area close to the logo was already starting to wear. It was easy to tell because I had the rainbow colorway, which changes color as the suede wears down. They were very easy to break in, though, but the glue that attached the rubber to the suede and outsole wore off, and I could have fit a berry in the gap that it created. The suede on the kickflip spot was very thin but very durable, and it did not wear out as fast as other shoes that I have skated. The rubber on the midsole was not as durable, though, and I could feel every kickflip that I flicked on those shoes. Since the stitching on this shoe was very minimal, I did not have to worry about major blowouts. The outsole is the thing that stands out on every Fallen shoe. the ousole is thick but has great boardfeel to be able to find a kickflip, ollie or heelflip spot. Overall, if you are a heavy kickflip skater, I would not recommend them. If you use these shoes every once in a while to skate with, I recommend them for skating.
