Overall:

I love these. I bought them right before I left for Rome - so I didn't have time to break them in. I wore them for a month straight, in Italy, during a heat wave and I have no complaints. They look fantastic and feel great. I did put insoles in just in case but I’ve worn them without the past few times and it's no bother. A beautiful boot!

If only there were more to order!I love this boot to no end! It’s very unique and extremely comfortable. I agree with other reviews, there is an issue getting the boots on and off (bit tight around the ankle but great close fit to the calf), but after breaking them in a bit, it’s not too bad. Although no mention is made of the velvet red trim and the upholstery lining, it makes them even more unique and I'll wear them with anything. I wear a size 10 and they fit well without hurting my toes or feet.

Cute but not from the front - These boots are beautiful and look better in person than online except for one thing: from the front, they look very baggy and make your leg look wide (almost like fishing boots!). From the side, they look fantastic. Also, they are somewhat difficult to get on, but not impossible; over time, this would probably be easier. They are fairly narrow, but not too narrow; my calf measures 14.5 inches at the widest part, and they fit my legs perfectly. Once the boots are on, they are a little loose, but in most boots, your heel does slip out at first until they mold to your feet. Overall, if you don't mind a little bit of a hassle getting in and out of them at first, and you don't mind having your lower legs look very large from the front, go ahead and order them.

NO Snaps - I love these boots, but it’s because I ripped them open down the seam and sewed in actual buttons! They say they have snaps, but only the top snap functions (barely). The rest are in fact rivets that don’t do anything but look pretty. It was horribly hard to get this boot on or off before I opened the seam. Once you get the boot on though, the footbed is maybe a half size larger than your foot, but it is really comfy with moderate arch support, and I usually wear inserts for my arches, so I mean it.I don't recommend getting these boots unless you can really flex your ankle to get them on and off.The other odd thing about them is that they are lined around the top and the underside of the buckle strap with a floral upholstery fabric, and then the shaft is lined with plasticy vinyl, so they do not breathe. (I modified that too) The velvet trim is pretty dark and subtle. The calves are really tight, so you'd better have thin legs. (Less than 15 inches around)

I live in these boots - These boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They are hard to get off the first few times you wear them but the leather does give a little that it is no longer an issue. I don't find them hard to get on at all. I hope they go down just a bit more so I can keep a "back up" pair so I am never without my leather slippers!

Nice style, hard to get on - Was excited about these boots but will have to return b/c they're too hard to get on. My foot is kinda bony on top so that might have caused me to have problems w/ this slide-on boot, but I couldn't even get it on. Looks like it would be comfortable and very cute.

Red Velvet Trim!Not what I expected. Nowhere in the description did it say that this boot had red velvet trim. It is however, in spite of the velvet trim piping along the top and side of the boot, a beautiful boot. I ordered it a little too big and they don't have my size available so I am returning this boot and not getting another. But got to tell you, I have mixed emotions - the style of the boot is fabulous, the velvet makes it a little harder to mix and match with stuff, but still it would have been a great addition to my closet.
