Throughout the years, Essie has created special colors that have caught everybody's attention. In 1989, Queen Elizabeth's hairdresser sent Essie a letter requesting the shade Ballet Slippers, as it was the only color Her Majesty would wear!
Beauty, fashion and fitness magazines alike have praised Essie for having the best nail polish around. Even celebrities and socialites have been caught wearing these luxurious nail polishes from Essie.
In 1999, Essie extended the collection by featuring Smoothies Hand and Body Lotions, Naturally Clean, the paraben-free nail care system, and the award-winning "Facial for Hands," Ejuvenate.
So whether you're looking for the perfect pink to complement your party dress, a rich and sultry red, or a top coat to make your nails shine brighter than the sun, Essie has that and more!
Essie Neutral Nail Polish Shades
I'm a guy that wears nail polish, and this natural shade is very subtle and not too feminine. The color is natural and blends in great while wearing it. It does have a very high gloss factor though, so it will catch specular highlights from the environment often. This polish is also very easy to apply without making mistakes. I put on three coats to be complete. Highly recommended...both color and brand.

Purchased this color for my daughter as a gift because she can only wear neutral colors on her nails and she loves the color. Bonus: her name is Jazz.

I found Brooch the Subject when I went to get a manicure for my wedding. I knew I wanted a subdued neutral color to keep all the focus on the rock, and though I was a little nervous that it would be too dark, it was perfect. It's a very elegant and on-trend color that I'm allowed to wear in work uniform so it's all sorts of wins.
