I basically love these shoes - OK. Let me just clarify about the comfort rating. I put a three because with the stock Level 1 Insole, it's not too comfy. BUT, if you've had a pair of eS's before, and they had the Level 2 Insole, I suggest you make the switch. It'll do you good. Overall, these shoes lasted me a LONG time and they are just great. BUT. ONE PRECAUTION. If you want to get these shoes and you actually skate, this is something you should take notice of. The rubber outsole is something your feet get used to. And it almost creates like a standard of how much board feel your shoes should have. If you plan to skate in these shoes, be prepared to buy nothing but shoes with the same type of rubber outsole. And that's it...
Brands I'd also recommend: The Theory and anything else with the same rubber outsole.

Great Buy - I've been skating for about 6 years now, and the square one has given me the best board feel. They're like Vans but more cushion. I totally recommend these shoes for a person who wants to hone in on their flip tricks. Not to mention they have a simple look.

Cool shoes - When I got these shoes and opened the box they looked different, so you really have to get used to them. But after a while there great shoes and the only thing is that the rubber in the front wears down really fast but everything else is pretty good. I really wish they had these shoes in leather, because the material they make the square ones in tears pretty fast.

Pretty good shoe, I got the blue insole black outsole, pretty sweet. After about 3 weeks the top is ripping but there is still a whole nother layer underneath, they’re not good for varial flips, but hey no shoes are.

Comfort - I've had these shoes for about 2 months and have been skating in them the day I got them. They look great and feel very natural, though I do have some issues with them; the stock insoles were very flimsy and thin but that's nothing that good ol' Dr.Scholl can't fix. Also the Denim material (if there is any) is weak and rips easily. The soles of the shoes are also thin and soft, making them prone to wear. But I find them very comfortable and quite attractive.

Great light shoes. Classic design. Accel's on vulcanized soles with extra tongue padding. These ran a half size too big. I usually wear 8 1/2 but I ordered 8's after seeing some reviews and they fit perfect. The gum shoe is super grippy. Great board feel. Haven’t torn up yet since skating in them every day. I am gonna get another pair!

Cool - These shoes have great board feel and they’re awesome on varial flips and 360 flips. The sole it was grippy but wears out fast. But that’s how you skate em. It’s not that comfy but it’s really good to skate!

Best shoe I've ever skated - I freakin love skating in these things!! They are super lightweight and have great grip. They are great for varials and kickflips and stuff, but the toe area does start to wear out kinda fast. But for me, almost any shoe does that. The only reason I gave it three stars in comfort is because the insoles wear out pretty fast because they are only level 1 footbed, so if you have a level 2 footbed from any other eS's make the switch, but overall I'd say buy these shoes!!!!

The Sidewalls are really thin. I would buy order a shoe that is 1/2 size smaller than you would wear. But the shoe looks good.

Good shoes - These are really good; they have a lot of board feel and a lot of grip. They’re one of my favorite vulcanized shoes I’ve had. The only problem is that they’re really thin but other than that they’re really good and yea u should buy them.

What I thought of square one - Well first up like most vulcanized shoes the sides are thin so shoe goo them before you even skate them so you’re not ripping through to your sock. Also they're more for mellow skating if your skating high impact stuff and throwing yourself down big sets this shoe isn’t for you. Your foot will be bruised all over. Also if you drag your heel or toe to stop it’s gonna wear out really fast. So shoe goo first, take good care of the sole and try el toro with it and you'll be fine.
Brands I'd also recommend: vulcanized ones like reynolds 3 (emerica), DC pride, DC pure, vans av era, lakai selects (howard, koston, caroll, etc.)
