Ordered shortie boots by Munro, Ecco, Naturalizer, Franco Sarto, Fitzwell and David Tate to compare, and really like this boot the best. I have a beautiful Cole Haan pair that are very elegant, but my feet were freezing cold all last winter. Not quite as comfortable/stable as the David Tate Vera, but the style of the two are very different. The look of the Julia is stylish with the heel tapering down, the rounded toe and the higher cuff. I wear a 10 and this boot doesn't elongate the look of my foot like the Munro Faith boot. The heel is a great height - a problem with some of the other models.

Love the style, love the fit, love the feel so much so that I bought an extra four pairs, two for me (finding great shoes is difficult) and a pair each for my daughters who are more styling than myself and they love them. The one draw back is that the heel cap on two of the four pair of shoes has come loose after just a couple of days use. A little bit of glue fixed the problem but still, have just two days of wearing? Please!

They had a nice fit and good quality leather. My ankles are slim and the wide opening on this boot made them feel sloppy. I am sending them back, but they would be good for a wider ankle.

I purchased these boots for a cool weather vineyard wedding to wear with a long dress. They are styled nicely, fit well, arch support is ok, but adding dress Superfeet helps. Has a slightly narrow fit, the heel is a comfortable height and kept my feet warm and dry (as it rained during the evening while we partied in the tent). The boots were comfortable from the minute I put them on and all afternoon and evening. These boots work well with long skirts and dresses and with slim pants tucked in.
Brands I'd also recommend: Naot, Clarks
