EMU Australia Reviews
I like the hard rubber outer sole. This is exactly as described. I normally wear 8 1/2 N shoe and the size 9 is perfect. It arrived in 4 days.
This are very fuzzy but run wide and can be a little sloppy. I like them but would like them so much better if they ran narrower. I really like dealing with Zappos. Best customer service I've ever had to deal with.
The sizing chart Zappos provided leaves a lot to be desired. It says the boots use European sizing, so based on the chart I ordered a 6. It was just a tad too small. My toes were squished up right against the toe of the boot. Forget about wearing socks! I loved the feeling of the wool against my toes so I returned the boots and got a size 7, which is my normal US size. The 7s are just a little big, but I like my slipper boots roomy. In fact, now that I'm in my 3rd trimester, these are truly the most comfortable shoes I own! The other reason I give them a 4 overall, is because I really did not want to buy a product made in China. I did a ton of research and I was led to believe, by EMU's website, that their products are the Genuine Australian sheepskin boot. Imagine my surprise when the boots arrived at my house, and the box said "Made in China" on it! I guess no one actually makes their sheepskin boots in Australia any more; or if they do, you practically have to fly to the Australian outback to track them down on the actual sheep ranch. I ended up keeping these because they feel so great and they are obviously a high quality product worth every cent; I just wish EMU wasn't quite so cagey about the country of manufacture on their website.
Don't bother looking for these boots on any other sites. I listened to that lady that said that the ones from Emu site were better, that's not true! I ordered hand made in Australia and I was so disappointed I was going to return them but I had to pay for the shipping back after I already payed the full price for boots. (I had a possibility to buy them on sale from Zappos and get them the next day!) I was so upset that hand made boots were such a poor quality! I love Zappos. I ordered shoes and boots from them for me and my son before. They have quality shoes, great prices and the greatest part that it's fast and you don't have to worry about feeling stuck if you are not happy for some reason. Anyway, about these boots: they are comfortable, soft and I love the charcoal color. I usually wear 6. I ordered 6 and they felt a little bit tight on my left foot. I hope they will stretch a bit. I'm sure they will. Sheep skin like any other skin is prone to stretching. I think Uggs are made better, the only reason I ordered EMUs because they are water resistant.

This sweater was one of the most fantastic sweater purchases I have ever made. Well worth the price! It is beyond soft, fits brilliantly (I ordered a SM, I'm 5'3", 125 lbs, hourglass figure), and can be worn several ways. I have dressed it up with a lace cami underneath and dark jeans, and also worn it with faded jeans and a tee underneath. It always looks good. I am surprised I haven't worn the thing out already. Take the plunge and treat yourself to this phenomenal sweater!
I absolutely love these boots. They are very comfortable, slightly generously sized, but not sloppy. They are water resistant, so if you stop in slush, you survive. They look great and feel even better. I am totally happy with them!
I ordered these in purple, they are beautiful. I usually wear 8WW. I ordered the 8 and they fit perfectly. I just love the color and the comfort, I have had them on all day today. I would love to get another color but cant afford it right now.
This pair of boots is even more stunning in person! It looks good in every angle! However this style is a little more bulky than other high EMU boots I have (it adds a little ruggedness to the overall look). I wear with medium thick socks to compensate the slight roominess in the feet and it fixed it. Overall, a very catchy boot, an alternative to conservative classic high boots. I love it!
My first pair of EMU stinger high (which I'd bought over Christmas) consequently led me to purchase another 7 pairs of EMUs...one for each of my family and 2 extra ones for myself! They are so comfortable and stylish! My kids & husband love them! I was so "bought over" by the quality that I went on to purchase the EMU Paddington and EMU Otway. Never knew I would be so crazy over boots or shoes for that matter until I fell in love with my first pair! Truly a great purchase! You won't regret it! Unlike Uggs that can be seen wearing at almost every corner of the road, EMUs are less to be spotted and I consider that to be more original!
My first pair of woolly boots! I tried the other brand, but they just didn't feel comfortable. I have a really high instep and couldn't even get some of the other brands' boots on. :( I like the fact that these have a removable insole--I put an arch support underneath it and they are really comfortable and warm--I can walk all day in these! I normally wear a size 9, but an 8 in the EMU Darlington fits perfectly.
These slippers are warm and comfy. They run large, so order a half size smaller.
I think overall I like the boot. Sometimes it looks like I am wearing the wrong shoe on the wrong feet, but upon switching I can feel that the soles are wrong so I switch them back. It's a little annoying cause I am in my 30's. Other than that they are not true to size. Order a full size smaller than what you need.
These slippers were well-made, but they come so high up one the top of the foot that they felt uncomfortable and unstable, flopping aroud as I walked.
Wanted to love these but couldn't get the sizing right. I'm a true 8.5, the 8 was too small and the 9 too big (toes felt cramped on the sides). Sorry to say I had to send them back. Oh, and these are made in China, not Australia as I thought!
I tried 2 other slippers & had to return both pair. They had a raised decoration on the sole that was hard & pressed into my sole when I walked. The EMU had a smooth sole & good support. I can slide my foot into them from a standing position. I usually wear a 7 1/2 narrow shoe but the EMU 8 is perfect. I love them & I am very particular.
I purchased these because I thought they were beautiful. I ordered in a size 10 and that is what I normally wear. I would have prefered to have them in black. So I ordered the Ugg Bailey Button Triplet in black and got these in Mushroom. The color is gorgeous and boot is cool but the fit is sloppy. The length of the footpad fits, but the the boot itself has so much room that my foot is flopping around. It reminds me of moon boots I had in 2nd grade. It's unfortunate as I like a chunky boot, but these look like I am wearing puffed marshmellows. So these are going back, but I kept the Uggs though. I ordered a size down in the Uggs and they fit great. If you like this style, go for the Ugg Bailey Button Triplet. You won't be sorry.
I chose a size smaller since they run a bit big. They are very warm and have great color. The only thing I dislike is that they are a bit more bulky than Uggs therefore harder to walk in. But others may like that since it's almost like walking on pillows.
Reviews said to order a size smaller and I am always a true 8 Med and the 7 Med was too small but they ordered the right size and shipped it out to me right away so I don't even have to wait for the new one to come! Great service!
Emu vs Ugs. Emus are water resistant, Uggs are not; Emu have a removable insole, Uggs do not; Uggs have a narrower heel; Emu have a wider heel. The heel is a little too lose, so I would not want to walk long distances in these, but for in and out of the car, shopping, home, office, they are perfect.
