I've purchased this item several times. Unfortunately they always break. As beautiful as Emile Henry bakeware looks, it is very fragile. I wouldn't recommend this as a long lasting pie dish.
Brands I'd also recommend: Martha Stewart

This simply is the best pie plate I've ever used and it's cheery red color will brighten not only the table but your spirits. Zappos had the best price, it arrived in perfect condition, and I love it!

Hi bakers - please note that the interior of this pie dish is completely flat, not scalloped like some of the other Emile Henry pie dishes. If you bake pies regularly, you know that a scalloped interior bakes a much more "even" pie (because of heat conduction). So, best to purchase the one that is scalloped inside. Zappos folks, maybe indicate whether interior is flat vs. scalloped.

Super pie dish...just don't drop it! This was a Christmas gift for our discriminating, gourmet son-in-law and his cooking, baking, grilling is the best!
