These are awesome day shoes - super light and breathable, so good for summer. Laces are optional, since there is a mock tongue like a typical skate shoe (looks better without, anyway).
Brands I'd also recommend: vans, globe

First off, I was very weary about buying anything but a hi-top shoe. My usual shoe is a Vans Classic Sk8-Hi in black, but needed something to rock with shorts for the summer on vacation. I was so pleasantly surprised with these shoes. They fit wonderfully and look a million times better than I had even expected. Like the other reviewer said, these shoes can be worn without the laces, but I actually prefer them. They look more like a casual low-top lace up, but with options. The sole is also another great feature. It's the main reason I didn't go with the Topaz. Basically the same shoe it would appear, but with a nicer sole. Plus it's all green, could it get any better?

The heel portion of the cloth ripped and separated from the sole after about a week of normal use. I think I'm going to get 4 weeks out of these shoes before it splits enough that I can no longer wear them.

Overall I'm a little dissapointed with this shoe. The pictures make it look super stylish but it is made from recycled materials. The material is thin. There are constantly dents in the toe because there is no real substance to the material. The sole, even though thin, is surprisingly comfortable. Since the shoe wasn't expensive I decided to keep them. Maybe I should have know since it is made from green recycled materials but this is my first time buying such a product and the pictures make it look better than it really is. I would recommend it only if you know what to expect!
