Stylish and comfortable. It's the perfect neutral color that I was looking for. I love the details of the buckle and that the zipper isn't too obvious. The height of the shaft is just right; hard to find a tall boot for a petite gal (5'1").
Very nice flat, great looking and good quality leather. However, with the way the elastic fit on the side of my foot, the leather was bunching and the shoe was making squeaking sounds when walking. I am not sure if that would disappear over time. Sadly, back they go.
These shoes fit beautifully and were true to size. I was, however, disappointed with the color. I ordered them in brown and instead of the warm, rich color I was expecting, the shoes were more of a nude hue of brown. I love everything about them except the color, actually. They would look great with skinny jeans and mini skirts or dresses!
Wow. I ordered these shoes at 7:00 PM last night and they arrived today, less than 24 hours later. Way to go, Zappos! The shoes are great. They are really comfortable, have soft supple leather and do not feel too high, despite the 4½" heel. They are easy to walk in with good support. The laces are sturdy and the design is great. Overall these are very high quality.
Beware! Beautiful, but dangerously unstable! Love the style and the firm hold of the strap, but the base of the show is simply not flat, meaning one teeters perilously at times. Thought I could handle it, but the instability finally caught up with me. Slipped in these shoes and sprained my ankle. I've been in heels for over 20 years, and never had that happen. Maybe it was a defect, but with 2 months in crutches ahead of me, I wish I hadn't tried to make them work, and would love to able to return them.
The leather is not as shiny as shown in the photo -- more matte, but good looking boots. Really wide around my skinny ankles, but these are keepers.
Super high, so returned them since I am already 5'8".
I had been lusting over these boots for months and finally ordered them. They do not disappoint! They look just as they do in the picture (I don't think the leather looks cheap like another reviewer said, and I'm normally pretty picky about that kind of thing). I am normally a size 8, but ordered an 8.5 because the 8's in black were sold out and another reviewer said they run small. I wouldn't say they run that small - they might be slightly on the narrow side, but I still have room in the length. Overall, it's not bad though, and they're so cute that it's worth keeping them to me, even if they're a little big. The fur lining is just super - both cute and warm. Also, the sole is nice and flexible, and they're beyond comfortable to stand and walk in. One slight difference from the picture: The picture makes it look like the lace-up front is just for show, but they actually do lace up and you can loosen/tighten them as you please. However, the lace bow is hidden in the picture, so you'll either have to tuck it to hide it or leave it out. Either way it looks cute. Overall, a really great boot. So glad I ordered!

Love it! Love them all! I must admit, after buying my first pair of Elizabeth and James (boots) last Winter, I am hooked! They always have the most fashionable style of everything they compete with! Their booties, their riding boots, their clogs, their summer sandals. They beat hands down every other manufacturer! (Even the top ones who have been around for years!) Keep making your beautiful and perfect styles (comfortable as well!) and you will be around for many many years! So glad you started a shoe business! I'm sure all the fashionable ladies would agree with me! I heard it was the Olsen sisters line. Wow!

These boots came in a stylish box with a cloth bag to store them in. They seem very well made, look great and are very comfortable. I'm very satisfied with the quality of boot and the service from Zappos. This pair replaced an earlier order of Frye booties that didn't fit me well and the exchange process went very smoothly, as always.
These booties are absolutely beautiful! I am a size 7 all the way and they fit perfectly. They are made out of very soft suede and the heel isn't too high. They go with short skirts/tights or leggings and a sweater. They are very well made as I expected. The price is a bit high but these booties will last. As always, Zappos got them to me quickly. Thanks to them for great customer service.
I did not want to like these shoes... (because of the price)... but they are just so darn cute and comfortable... I am keeping them! Got the navy... just perfect!
Love the look of these shoes! Beautiful and surprisingly light on the feet. I've received tons of compliments! My complaint is that the padding by the toes of my feet has already started to roll back after only wearing them only twice and it makes it very uncomfortable! My girlfriend has these shoes too and she has the same problem. I would return if I could. The price of these pairs of shoes shouldn't fall apart after two wears. Ugh!
Disappointed that shoe arrived looking rather worn out. Nice style but runs a bit too wide for my feet.

I love Elizabeth and James, and have adored shoes I've gotten from them in the past. Truly some of my all-time favorites. This pair of boots however, I'll be sending back. Though the craft is exquisite and durable and the leather is soft and rich looking, the shaft is just a little too high for my short legs and the wide opening is much wider than it appears in the pictures. Also it is very stiff, where I was expecting it to be soft and a bit limp from the pictures. So though the boot looks great with skinny jeans and socks tucked in, it looks strange with tights and a dress - I look like I'm wearing short baggy wellies instead of "worn-in" low boots. The rest of the boot is otherwise great, comfy and well-made. It is almost-there but didn't quite deliver on the usually flattering front this time. This won't deter me from trying Elizabeth and James again in the future.
