The perfect shoe in many ways! I looked and looked for a shoe I could wear on a long trip, one that would be comfortable and supportive all day, but would look more like a shoe than a sneaker. Although I have a very hard time finding comfortable shoes, I care about style as well. I'd about given up when I found these. I have bunions, which mean my feet are wide and sensitive to rubbing, so mary jane styles just don't work for me. But these do! The top comes up high enough on the foot to avoid rubbing, but is still cut low enough to be cute. And the edging around the top is super-soft, so no chafing. In addition, they have a lot of support - much more so than other casual flats. With the contrast stitching and rubber trim (and the silver patch on the back, which I could do without), they are still more sporty than dressy, but I have worn them with skirts and they look very cute. Under black slacks, they will be totally appropriate at all but the very dressiest spots. They run a little wide (which I needed), but that gives you room to add an insole for additional cushioning (although the Ecco cushioning is good). All in all, a shoe that fills a huge need - I think I'll get a ton of wear out of them. (I've been wearing them without socks this summer, but will not hesitate to wear them with black socks in cooler weather.)

I loved these shoes, and wore them a lot, but after about a month they unfortunately started to make squeaky sounds, so now when I walk my friends say "you know your shoes squeak"; if you can live with that, I can't, they're great. I even put in some store-bought innersoles, no luck. Still squeak. Can I still return these, Zappos?

These shoes are super cute, but unfortunately as one other person mentioned, they weren't constructed well for my foot. At the center of the throat the trim meets under the wing tab that wraps under to the inside of the shoe. This makes the tab bulky especially if the trim is overlapped under the tab. Kind of hurt my right foot when walking...so back they go.

Great all around shoes for travel. I bought these in all three colors. I have a size 12.5 and it is very difficult to find shoes. The Warm Grey Metal color is by far the best. It is a lovely bronze color that looks so nice you almost overlook the heavy soles for walking. It is great travel shoe. I wore it last summer in Rome and Cyrus in very hot weather. It is nice with either a dress or pants. It is durable because the upper is leather. The heavy soles also make it great for walking long distances in a city. The other two colors are not as sturdy or attractive. The uppers are of fabric so they have more give and are not as supportive. They are much more casual than the metal color. The white ones got dirty easily. I am using them for house slippers but they look pretty bad after one year. I would not recommend the white.
I'd also recommend: Mephisto

Super cute shoes that are an upgrade from sneakers. Ecco is usually so comfortable but (maybe I'm a delicate flower) a couple seams rub against my foot so I'm not wearing them. I tried filing the seams down with an emery board but they still hurt. That's my only criticism because the shoe fits perfectly. Also they run a tad big so I had to exchange for a smaller size (flower size).
I'd also recommend: Taryn Rose

I love these shoes. I was looking for a walking/everyday shoe to fit over my very small bunions and this is wonderful. I also have wide feet (9W) and was surprised this shoe is perfect! They are very versatile; sporty, walking, work or casual dress. Will be ordering another when available.

Really liked shoe but fit was just a little too short. Wanted a walking shoe for travel. The Skimmer was well made with good support. Next size up was too large all around.
