I ordered a 43 because I usually wear a 9.5, but it was over an inch longer than needed. Zappos is sending me a 42, hopefully it fits. I read on another Ecco shoe review that it ran large and the user went one size down and it was still too large. I hope that isn't the case.

The size conversions on these boots is abysmal. I always wear 9-10 (depending on brand). So, the listed equivalent in EU sizes (according to the product description) is that I should wear a 43. I got the boots and they were over an inch too long. Zappos sent me 42s as an exchange. Still too big. Now I'm debating whether I should even bother trying the 41s. 41 is listed as a 7-7.5 and I'm a good 9.5, so I'm concerned if they will be too narrow. Also, I'm not a fan of the darker polished tips. Wish they were just all the same leather finish.

This boot looks amazing. But, it was almost two full sizes too big. I usually wear an Ecco 43. I had to get this boot in a 41. I placed the sole of this boot next to my 10.5 New Balance sneaker and they lined up. Sizing completely wonky on this Ecco. YMMV.

A fitment odyssey comes to an end. According to the Brannock device, I'm between a US 11 and a US 11.5, D-E, with a long foot and short toes. I got these in a US 9.5. They're snug for width, but the quality leather means they'll stretch to my foot over time. They may be ever-so-slightly overpriced for the finish, but not by much. Stitched welt and sole, decent leather, finish and stitching are good. Made in India. The sizing is completely out of whack risible, contemptible, almost insulting. WTF is the point in having sizes if not to standardize the process? Ecco is not alone and same issue with Florsheim's Hawley, which was my first attempt. 11 was an inch too big, 10.5 too tight. C'mon people. Huge thumbs up to Zappos, though. I returned three pairs of boots before I got to these and each time it was fast and free. What's not to love?

Probably more than a full size larger than marked. Unfortunately, I ordered the smallest size available, and it was still too big.

These are not your typical hiking boot. I wear a size 45 of the Ecco Track II Mid High, and order a 45 in these shoes. The fit was great but if you are looking for boots that fit like sneakers, these are not your shoes. These shoes have the roomy fit of cowboy boots or a pair of Wellingtons. For a sneaker like fit try the Ecco Track II Mid High.
Brands I'd also recommend: ECCO Track II Mid High

I enjoy these boots. They look great and are pretty comfortable. I got a 44, 10 to 10.5 and I normally wear a 10.5 to 11 and they fit fairly well. Maybe a little long but not absurdly. The insole could have a little more padding, but even without a lot of cushioning they are pretty comfortable. The leather is nice and soft as well.
