I wanted a comfortable, waterproof boot for my travels to the East Coast. I ordered this boot and the Angelic by Merrill. I chose the Ecco because it is beautifully tailored and more comfortable than the Merrill. I have a slightly narrow foot and slim legs, so this boot also was more flattering on me. The leather is nice quality, and the boot is comfortable all around. I have searched several stores for a boot like this but could only find it on Zappos!!
Brands I'd also recommend: Paul Greene, Clarks, Born

I love these booties! I have worn them almost every day since they arrived. The fit is perfect and they are warm without smothering. This is my first online shoe purchase experience and it is great!

Quality of the leather looks cheaper than in the picture. Okay, but definitely not special. Maybe okay for a casual work day, but I don't think these are nice enough to wear out on the town.

Odd wedge heel that pitches you forward. Good arch support. No ball of foot cushioning to counterbalance being pitched onto the ball of your foot by the wedge heel.
