I bought these boots for cool-weather bike commuting. I needed something that I could get away with wearing at the office, but that would hold up to the ride in. Also, I have a high instep and struggle to find shoes that fit. These boots are perfect. The sole-material seems a bit cheap - more like plastic than rubber. And the factory-insole can't be removed so it's a bit tight if you need custom insoles. Not the cutest boot on the market but very functional.
