This shoe fits lengthwise, but is very tight at the largest width of the foot. I do not normally have to order wide shoes. I'm afraid I will have to return these. I could risk the discomfort to see if they give enough with wear, but at this cost, I don't think so. With the button going over Velcro, if you don't clamp it down all the way, you see the extra Velcro which diminishes the great look of the shoe. I love Zappos but I wish they would not color enhance their shoes. The black tip is way over exaggerated in the photo. It's much more muted and blends into the brown of the shoe.

I tend to roll my foot outwards when I walk, called supination. Most shoes are geared towards people who roll their foot inwards. It is difficult to find a shoe that allows my foot to remain neutral. This comes very close and is very comfortable. I bought in both colors. I wear them to work with Dockers.

Looked better on the website than on my foot. I didn't care for the Velcro closure. Felt too cumbersome to me, but the fit and quality of ECCO is great for the price point.

I am always 8 1/2 regular width. Size 39 fit me perfect. Very confortable. I needed shoes to wear with biz skirt, pants, jeans, during the day and on the weekend and this pair fits my criteria. I walk to work and at work a lot, so needed comfort and elegance. Elegance is a bit weaker here than comfort. Happy with a choice overall. Highly recommend.

I did buy black pair and started to used immediately after purchase. Super comfy, meets my biz dress criteria, looks good with suit, pants, jeans, skirt. Perfect buy! But when I was putting first review, noticed that shoes went on sale, called the rep and he immediately offered to refund. Can not ask for better biz!

Every time I wear them someone says, I love your shoes! They are kind of like a shoe boot because they go up a little higher on the sides, which is great for the snow, and still its a shoe. They are extremely comfortable and the button with velcro snap is nice in case your foot is a little swollen from traveling or whatever. I would highly recommend this shoe!

These are great travel shoes. I was leaving for a winter week in Iceland and wanted waterproof shoes that would look good enough with slacks for eating at nice restaurants, walking around town, museum visits, and so forth. The Velcro strap makes for easy on/off at the airport and during plane flights. I have other Ecco slip-ons, and these are nice variations to the all-black loafer look. I have plantar fasciitis and bunions, and these shoes easily accepts my orthotics. No break-in period, I wore them around the house for a few hours, then just hit the road with no problems.

This shoe is not the same color brown as shown. The actual shoe is a dull brown. The style does not compliment my foot. I did not like the velcro closure because it takes away from the form of the shoe once it is on the foot. This is the reason I shop Zappos. Sometimes it takes a second look or wear to decide if a shoe is going to work for you.

These shoes are extremely comfortable and nice looking. They look great with a nice pair of jeans or casual slacks, and still feel great after 12 hours on my feet. I'm definitely glad I chose these Ecco shoes!

Once again, as my latest order of Ecco's from Zappos proves, Ecco never lets me down. My wide looking, size 9 feet, look thinner, less huge, and completely sophisticated in this shoe. In addition, they are beyond comfortable! And Zappos delivered them within two days without me having to pay for extra shipping. This is one satisfied customer!

I bought these shoes prior to a trip to London, which I knew would involve tons of walking. When they arrived, my 12 year old daughter said, "no offense, but they are kind of ugly." I wasn't in love with the look, but bringing them to London was the best decision - they were a lifesaver! No breaking in required, the strap accommodates different sock thicknesses plus post airflight foot swelling, and the height of the heel allows for flexibility in pant length. They look fine with a wider pant leg (probably less fashionable if paired with skinny jeans). I am a true 5, and these European sized 36 shoes were a little roomier than my usual shoes. I wore my "ugly shoes" for the first 3 days straight in London - they will be my go-to shoes for future travel/walking intensive trips.
