These shoes are comfortable right out of the box, he hasn't taken then off since they arrived, great travel shoe for walking too, nice styling.

Good airy summer sneaker. Exactly true to size (44) relative to other Eccos. Fits like a glove - with or without socks. Mesh sides provide good ventilation. Obviously not as cushy or supportive as other hiking-oriented Eccos, but probably the best that can be expected for a shoe of this style. Minimal (but not zero) arch support.
I'd also recommend: Clarks
